Have you seen the May availability calendar? While no days have opened at Beach Club or BoardWalk, entire weeks are available for a lake view studio at BLT.

People stay at BCV and BWV for Epcot. People stay at BLT for the monorail. The Poly makes sense if you want the monorail.

Not sure you're going to get those. We BLT people like our "cheap" BLT rooms. I tried adding on a night in July at the Poly at the beginning of the trip but wasn't able to get it, so will just spend an extra day in Savannah on the drive down and then enjoy my Standard BLT room.

Yep.....as a BLT owner...I definitely use the booking advantage for my "cheap" room. I did notice a few theme park view at BLT open up. Personally I'd never spend the points for that....I can just go upstairs to the TOWL if I want the fireworks and save my points LOL.

I HAVE had standard view studio's come through on the waitlist in the past. It IS possible. But those standard view rooms you might as well forget about if you aren't a BLT owner ready to book at 11 months. Even I could only get LV for the first 2 weeks of Dec.

There are no studios at BCV, but there is availability for 1 and 2 BRs for about 50% of the month. May is Flower and Garden, an Epcot destination, not MK. It is also still school time, and in my experience one of the slowest times of the year. If MK was the big draw, I suspect you would also see more people switching from VWL than what we see so far. There were still rooms available at BLT around July 4th weekend before PVB booking started, so I suspect there was availability at BLT in May then too. I suspect a lot of people switched from VGF, too. Both BLT and VGF have monorail access plus have higher point requirements than the other DVCs, so my guess is that is the demographic that is most likely to switch. BLT also has more rooms than BWV or BCV, allowing for a better chance of availability (only the LV studios have good availability in May). In fact the ONLY DVC with NO availability in May is BWV. That includes VGC, Aulani, HHI etc. I think you are reading too much in to the BLT availability.

My 2 sentence post was simply an observation at 11:45am, not a thorough explanation and analysis of DVC member booking behavior. If someone was looking to book in May, earlier today, BLT had full weeks available.

I would love it is a 1 bdr would open up. We are currently at BCV may 15th - 18th and BLT the 14th. We need either the 14th at BCV to open or the whole time at BLT. We would prefer the BLT for the extra bathroom and the extra room in the 1 bdr. We are on a waitlist for both right now. Too bad a studio no longer works for us

I'm wait listed for a standard 1 bedroom at BLT. Hoping with poly switching I might get it. It's 1 night in August.

I didn't even look at May for PVB because we are staying at BWV. Not moving from there for anything.

I did manage to snag 2 nights at PVB in September....on the front of our BLT standard 2 bedroom. Not giving that up either.

Also staying at BCV the 1st week of Dec. Keeping that too.

There are so many lake view rooms at BLT that this doesn't surprise me.

I doubt much if any standard will open up. That's a really big reason a lot if not most people bought at BLT. Lower points and still on the monorail.

Whatever the reason we were pumped-just got our points recently and really wanted to try BLT. Kind of wanted to wait on Poly until most/all the resort construction will be done but booked a room this am at poly to have a MK resort. Once BLT opened up we cancelled and switched to BLT. Save a few points and have a nice view

The Resort Availability Tool has been not been totally reliable for much of today, at least when displaying what is and is not available for PVB. I'd let the dust settle for another day or so before I rely on the accuracy of the RAT.
