Bay Lake Tower 2 bedroom in Dec next year?

We would like to get a 2 bedroom at Bay Lake Tower in Dec 2023. I do have BLT as my home resort, so I can start at 11 months. I have never walked a reservation, and don't really want the stress of that. Points are tight, so I would also be hoping to add a day or two at 7 months. Standard view, Lake view?
Any thoughts or suggestions. I am looking for any advice on how best to approach this.

Your best chance to add days at 7 months is Lake View, by far, but "best chance" isn't "good chance."

Book a dedicated Lake View 2 bedroom. I think that will give you the very best chance to add days st 7 months. Good luck!

Standard view 2BRs can actually be difficult to get in Dec even at exactly 11 months out and walking often may not work because the rooms can often fill right at 8 a.m. when the 11-month window opens for whenever you might try to start a walk. Lake view 2BRs (both lock-off and dedicated) generally remain open for ample enough time at 11-months out to get one without having to walk; Theme Park view 2BRs have shown a risk of sometimes disappearing right at 8 a.m. at 11-months out for some days during the first 2 weeks of Dec..

You will need some luck to pick up additonal nights for any 2BR at 7 months out, with chances the lowest if you are looking for extra time during the first two weeks of Dec or Christmas week (e.g., at 7-months out for any day during the first two weeks of Dec 2022 there were no nights open for any 2BR at BLT).
