Bay Lake Studio-7 months out?

Hi all, we are currently booked for Beach Club (home resort) for April 2017 to celebrate our 25th anniversary and see our son's high school marching band perform in the parks.

I am really hoping to switch to Bay Lake at 7 months out...and wondering if you think that is possible?

We have never stayed here and since it will be an adults only vacation (son will be staying with band offsite) thought this was the perfect place..thoughts?

Any great dinner suggestions for adults? Thanks!!!

It's possible, so long as you budget points enough for Lake View, generally speaking. Past availability is no firm predictor of future availability, etc.

Especially since Easter is April 16 in 2017, there may be some demand shift there. Hard to say. I'd be online promptly at 7 months to the second if it's important to you.

Standard view unlikely as it is usually gone before 7 months out much of the time. Theme park view could have issues the two Easter weeks, but still a chance.

Lake view is likely except a risk otherwise for two possibilities and the main one is not Easter. The weekend, April 21-23, after Easter has been designated as the Star Wars Dark Side which has a half marathon. That weekend in lake view (and theme park view), particularly the Friday and Saturday nights could easily disappear before 7 months out (it did for this year, the Dark Side's inaugural year, when the marathon was in mid-April, weeks past Easter). The other risk is Easter but it is a low risk for lake view unless your start date is the Monday , Tuesday or Wednesday after Easter. What has happened in the past is that lake view was open 7 months out from Easter for the week, but the Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday have filled at that time by persons booking several days starting on Easter at 7 months out.

I know this probably won't be much help (but I thought it would give you hope), but I was able to just secure not one, but two standard view studios less than seven months out (for a trip on Feb. 12th). I know it's a different time of year but it might be possible so just keep trying!

Standard view studios are already booked out for half of April 2017. Lake view and TPV are wide open and likely will still be at the 7-month window. BLT just has very few standard view rooms and given their discount they go fast. IMO unless you want ground floor it is worth getting a lake view anyway for the 2-3 extra points per day.
