Bathtubs at Grand Californian

I know a lot of the rooms don't have bathtubs anymore but if we put the request in to have a bathtub how likely are we do get one? Are they super rare now or just in all rooms anymore?

It is is so much easier with a 2 and a 4 year old to throw them in the bathtub especially if they are cold (we are going in December) after a day in the parks. Also last year I took my now 4 year old (then 3) right after New Year's when the Christmas decorations were still up and we stayed at Paradise Pier during the first few days of the lovely super raining winter Anaheim (and all of CA had) so one evening we were wet and cold so I grabbed her a hot coco and a cocktail for me and I told her she had to take a bath right when we got back but she could take her hot coco in the tub with her. Apparently this made quite the impression on her because when I told her we were going in December to see the Christmas decorations again one of the first things she said was can brother and I have hot coco in the bath. Now I feel like I need to have a bathtub!

Thanks!

I have never requested it specifically, but I will say that in my multiple stays at GCH, I have only had 1 room (post renovation) with a bathtub. It was a King courtyard view room at a corner on the second floor. I know @Nonsuch seems to have a lot of GCH room configuration knowledge, so maybe they can chime in on potential details 🙂

My hunch, and from what I've heard from others, is that they are more rare, like King rooms...so that room we got on the second floor must have been GCH's version of a unicorn 🤣

Ps. I hope it all works out and your daughter gets to have her hot cocoa in the tub. It does sound divine after a cold, long park day!

During my August 2023 trip at GCH/Disneyland, I had a Woods/Courtyard View room and I had a bathtub...3rd floor.

Ok, that story is so cute and I love those “random memories” we make without knowing it. If you don’t get a tub I did see plenty of people with drinks around the hot tub at the grand (and DL hotel) so maybe that can be a backup. Hope you get it though!

You could definitely call and request it, and ask again at check-in. I love the cocoa story, that's so cute! It's sweet the little things that make such an impression on kids :)

Its definitely easier having a bathtub with small children. I’ve requested it at the Grand Californian, and was always told it was unavailable. We always have bathtubs at the Disneyland hotel, and the extra walk isn’t too bad if you’re in the Adventureland tower.

We had a standard room with 2 queens and a bathtub last year. It was 3123 above the main entrance and next to the monorail pass-thru. Close to the stairs and relatively short walk to the lobby.
