We have a dedicated two bedroom villa and I have a question about the bathrooms. From the drawings, it looks like the master BR has a large bathtub and a shower. Does the shower have a "lip" on it? How easy is it to step into the shower?

In the second BR, I am assuming that it is a standard bathtub with shower head situation, right?

I am trying to figure out the best configuration for bedrooms for my family (me, dh, dd4, dd2) and my parents. Dd2 still sleeps with us in strange situations (like hotel rooms), so normally I would take the master with the king and put my parents in the second bedroom with the queen (and dd4 on the pull-out) since we'll probably bath the kids in the big bathtub (which is what we do at home) and we'll need to fit three in our master bedroom.

However, my mom usually just takes showers...and can't handle stepping into bathtubs. Any details about bathroom configurations would be helpful?

Two possible solutions for your situation that I can think of: there is a door from the living area of a 2 BR into the part of the master bath that house the shower. There is another door from the shower room into the other part of the bathroom so your mother could theoretically shower in there and still afford privacy to those in the master BR.

You could request an accessible bathroom with a rollin shower. You would still have the big tub in the master but both showers would have no step at all.

Thanks...that shower looksl like it will be fine the "lip" is relatively low. Thanks for the ideas!
