Going to Disney World in July for the first time with twin daughters. Here is a weird question :rolleyes1...With it being so hot and humid in July are the bathrooms in the park hot and smelly like most amusement parks?

We always go in July and have never had a problem with any bathrooms being hot or smelly. They are large bathrooms and very clean. :thumbsup2

We've gone in June in the past and last summer went in August. When we went in June, dd was only 3 and just recently potty trained, so I was always in the bathrooms with her. Last August, she was 5, but still occasionally needed my assistance;) Never did we once experience filthy, stinky bathrooms, no matter the park! And it was HOT!!!

I will say, that as public bathrooms anywhere go, I can't understand how women can feel okay about leaving a mess in the stall (tp on the floor, pee on the seat, failure to flush, etc.) So that does happen, but they weren't ALL like that and overall they were clean and not stinky!

Have fun! We'll be there in the hot sticky month of August yet again this year! Can't wait!

We only visited once in July, but we never noticed the bathrooms to be different than any other time of the year.

Disney bathrooms are usually very clean, and most of them are frezzing cold with the air conditioner on.

Disney bathrooms tend to be better maintained than most other public facilities, including those at several corporate office buildings in which I've worked.

We have been in July the last 4 years and are going again in 24 days. Can't wait! We have never had a problem with bathrooms at any of the parks. They are the cleanest anywhere.

The restrooms are air conditioned and properly ventilated. Trash is emptied and stalls cleaned frequently. No smell at any time of the year. MK attendance for 2009 was 17,233,000. Their sewer system has to stand up to that much use. It's mind-boggling, when you think about it.

I noticed a pretty strong urine smell in the men's restroom near Mickey's house. My wife said that particular women's restroom had a strong fish smell. She came out of there with quite a look on her face. I would assume that restroom is closed now and possibly demolished.

We have been in March and Sept and the bathrooms were always cool and clean. No problems at all!

Disney bathrooms tend to be much cleaner than regular public bathrooms. The larger ones seem to be cleaner than the smaller ones. So the one by the Tomorrowland Noodle Terrace that has only 3 stalls, was not as clean as the larger ones. I must say, that the last time I was there 3 weeks ago, there was a line out the door for that one, and there was an attendant there cleaning it while I was there. There is just so much you can do in a tight space.

On the other hand, most of the bathrooms are huge, and my favorite in Hollywood Studios is by Light Motors Action, is so big, it is very clean and you never have a wait.

Of all the bathrooms I visited, it was rare not to see an attendant cleaning it. Those people really work hard and Disney understands that keeping bathrooms clean is a priority for guests.

Disney World is not an amusement park. It is a theme park:snooty: OK I admit I've been dying for an excuse to use that smilie;)

And as the PPs have said, the bathrooms are better than most public places I've been to, and even a few private ones!

I often go to the bathroom when I really don't have to go. Why? Because it's air conditioned and I get a break from things. Also, it's not that crowded. And a note - Disney World bathrooms also have baby changing areas in the men's rooms so you don't have to do all that stuff on your own.

I've only seen one trashed bathroom that I can remember so you can see how rare that is. That messy bathroom still didn't smell and it was nice and cool.

More often than not I see a CM in the bathroom cleaning.

There is a smaller bathroom at AK between Africa and Asia. After RD, I go to EE to get FP's, and them make my way to meet the family at Safari. I always make a pit stop in that bathroom. :lmao: TMI? :rotfl:

I have seen the same CM cleaning that bathroom over the years. On our last visit to AK I was disappointed that the CM was not there. :rotfl2:

I have been in one bathroom without AC but I cannot remember its location or which park. It was unusual and the AC had to have been broken. Maybe that little, itty, bitty, bathroom that is right there as you start walking counter clockwise around WS. :)

Later,
Dan
