I should know this, but I seem to have forgotten.

In the Kidani studios, is the sink in or out of the bathroom? I saw one photo that looked like it is out, and another that looked like it is in with the tub? Now I am horribly confused.

Also, the sinks at Kidani are single instead of double like in Jambo, correct?

I could be wrong.....never stayed at Kidani (yet). But I thought both sinks were "inside" the bathroom in both studios. And yes, I'm pretty sure it's a single sink in Kidani and a double in Jambo's studios.

At Jambo there is a double sink outside of the bathroom door. The tub and toilet are together.

If the sink at Kidani is "inside" I think we will book Jambo again for 2011, because it looks like the studios at Kidani are only teeny bit bigger than Jambo. The sink configuration is a big deal to me! :rotfl2:

Yes the tub and single sink are in the same room then the toliet in a room off of this room.

:) In our Kidani SV studio.....I remember one sink in with the tub and the toilet was by itself with a door. DH and I like the arrangement.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I pulled out our planner and looked at the sketch of the layout. What was confusing me from the photos was the door that sections off the toilet by itself. Now I understand.

We like the Jambo layout because while someone is showering, someone else has the sink area and it doesn't get all steamy.

This year we have a value 1 bedroom, so we'll see if that bathroom works for us. If not, we'll know the Kidani studio is probably not a good idea.

At Kidani, one sink in the bathroom with the tub. The toilet is in it's own little room within the bathroom. There is also a wetbar with sink in the kitchenette. There's a pic in thread about Kidani in my sig line if you want to see. I think it's a poor design and prefer the toilet and tub together with the sink outside the bathroom.

Thanks! Those are the photos that confused me to start with! :rotfl2:
It really makes more sense if you look at the floor plan as opposed to photos. We really like the way the sinks are in the Jambo studios. :)

Oh gosh....DD and I will be in a Kidani Studio in June and I still can't figure out what you are all saying about the sink situation!!! Am I right in that the sink is in with the tub behind a closed door and the toilet is in another spot behind a closed door??? Now I'm all confused :confused3

You are right. The tub and sink are behind a door in a room. Then the toliet is off of that room with a door you can close.

Oh great...so when DD is in the bath and doing her hair I'll be at the kitchenette sink trying to pull it all together.:rolleyes1 Thanks at least I'm forewarned!! You have to wonder what they were thinking with this layout?!!!

That's why we like the Jambo studio layout. Having the sinks in a little "alcove" and the tub & toilet in a little "room" makes it easier for all 3 of us to get ready in the morning. Only having one basin AND having the basin inside the room with the tub is going to complicate matters. I won't be able to brush my teeth while DH is shaving, DS and DH won't be able to do much of anything while I am showering, I won't be able to do my hair while either one of them are showering (too steamy)...

While the studios are a big "snug" I do think the way the bath is arranged is more convenient that the 1 bedroom Jambo or the Kidani studio. We don't spend a whole lot of time in the room anyway, so I think next year when our points are a little tight we will do a Jambo studio.

Here is the floorplan for the Kidani Studio:
