Bathroom question

ours is 56 yrs old...no fans. ;) no power unless the light switch is turned on....so no plug ins either. :confused3. guess its spray for us. ;) ;)

So....you go in the dark? :confused3

DH has allergies and can't stand the sprays. We use the fan. My parents strike matches. :teeth:

I also like the Lysol Nuetra Air. We also have an Airwick automatic sprayer thing that attaches to the wall. It goes off on a timed interval (I think you can choose every 9 minutes, 18 minutes, or 36 minutes). I hate the thing. When it goes off, it scares the crap (pun intended ;) ) out of me! DH is big into air fresheners, scented candles etc. all over the house. So the Airwick thing was his idea. We also use the fan.

We use a fan - in the bathroom that has one ;)

We also have 'plug-in' type air freshners in each one and leave a can of 'neutra air' type spray in each for an extra burst of freshness.

I do feel funny about spraying when others can hear - but I would rather them hear that :teeth:

I have never liked most sprays or scented candles. Most of those things give me a very powerful headache. I do like Febreeze, though I have never tried it in bathrooms. Striking a match and blowing it out does an amazing job of covering up oders. I am a fan of the fan.

I have always thought that bathroom fans were in the wrong place. Why put them up in the ceiling? I have always wanted to modify a toilet and add a fan that drew air in through the rim flush holes while someone was seated on it. It could exhaust through the soil stack (the toilet drain). The fan would only need to run while someone was actually sitting on the toilet and for a few minutes after, so the fan could be battery powered and the batteries should last for months. The whole thing would be totally automatic. Such a unit could be retrofitted to any bathroom by simply replacing the toilet, no need for wiring or for running vents.

You should seriously consider designing this and patenting it ASAP. Good luck...sounds like a winner to me!! :sunny:

We just use the tradewinds. It keeps the house fresh smelling, but it is a pain to dust.

Maybe you people just have much bigger houses than I do. I have a small 2-bedroom, 1 bath ranch for 3 people. If we didn't use our NeutraAir, we'd have to leave the house when somebody stunk up the bathroom -- especially during the winter or when the AC is on.

We have spray, if my husband lived at your house you would too.

We usually just use the fan, if we are having people over, I have little tealight holders from Partylite that match the decor so I will just burn those.
