I'm in the process of redoing my hallway bathroom. The walls are grey, floors are black/white, cabinet is white.
I need ideas on how to decorate. I'm HORRIBLE at it.
I would choose a shower curtain with a colorful pattern. Then pick accessories such as decorative towels that pull out one color from the pattern. Just remember you want a "pop" of color, not a room that looks like a crayon box, so don't overdo it.
When I redid my bathroom I looked at shower curtains on Wayfair and just started looking at what I was attracted to first. That gave me an idea of where to go. If you haven't already done this, you could start by just putting in the colors gray and black and see what pops up.
Does the bathroom have a window? If so, I’d probably stick with the grayscale look and accessorize with black, white, or grey items using live plants for the pop of color.
Sorry, I'm at work and don't have a picture. It's a light/cool gray. Like it would match bluish tones. The floor is is tile, white with smaller black accent tiles. It's a smallish bathroom, no windows. My bathroom cabinet is white with black knobs. Unfortunately the countertop is a deep/dark purple. I would love to change that in the future.
Coastal/beach would work. We live about 6 miles from the coast. I just don't want to go too "beachy" because I don't want the feel of like a vacation home.
My bathroom is so small I’m not sure there is room for decor. A nice fabric shower curtain is about all I upgraded to when I redid my bathroom before that we just used a heavy duty vinyl curtain/liner.

I'm thinking that I will just have to use the shower curtain as the decor too. I do have 1 wall that I can hang something decorative. I just don't know what! Lol. Maybe I'll just go with a spa-like theme. Clean and simple.
I feel you on "coastal but not overly beachy". I would start by adding a couple small things, and add more if you feel it needs it (but, you don't have to). Maybe a coastal shower curtain with shell-shaped shower hangers, and some towels for a pop of color (blue? aqua?). Then, live with that for a bit, and see if a nice coastal print of some kind would be nice. I bought a wreath with a few seashells on it from Current, a few years back--that sort of thing would look nice without screaming "BEACH!"
