I don't know what it is with toddlers & water, but they seem to be magnetically attracted to each other. Our kids seemed to find every single water sprayer in every park. It's so hot I didn't have the heart to keep them out, but their clothes were getting soaked & I was changing them often. So we started dressing them in bikinis (for easy bathroom trips) with sundresses over them. Every time they found a fountain, we could just take the dresses off. The bathing suits would dry quickly, and then we could just put the dresses right back on. This was especially handy on the Kali River Rapids.

This is a great tip! Thank you!! :)

Once he was finished with diapers, my nephew did great with lightweight swim trunks that look like shorts (with a net liner) and a T-shirt. The trunks dry quickly and the T-shirt can come off and on as needed when water is near.

He also liked to wear surf mocs (he called them "mer socks") :earsboy:
