Hi everyone - we are going to WDW with our DS1 in October. He still uses a baby tub and I can't take it along, but I'm nervous about putting him in a full-size tub. Just wondering what other people have done at bath time? Should I buy one of those inflatable tubs? Thanks for your help!

I used to lay a towel on the bottom of the tub, keep the water level low, and sit my boys on the towel. The wet towel creates a non-stick surface, so it's easy to bathe them without them slipping/sliding all over the place.

We would just have them take a shower. Once they could stand alone I would have them stand under the water to get wet, move out of the stream and I would lather them and wash their hair and have them get back in the to rinse. By the time #3 came along, we pretty much always gave her a shower even at home.

I would just barely fill the tub. Just enough to splash some water over them when needed. I like the PP's idea of putting a towel down so it's not slippery.

if he can sit up .. no biggie with putting him in the tub, just fill it with a lil water and sit on the side of him or hop in if you are nervous. towel idea works great.. we did that a few times with our lil one.

We went when DS was only 3 months and the towel in the tub worked great for us as well.

We went to Disney when my little one was 11 months old. We took a small blow up baby bathtub that I found at Target. We blew it up when we got there and deflated it when we were ready to leave so it didn't take up too much space in the luggage. This worked great for us.:)

I've never had a baby bath. When they were too little for a bath alone I would sit in the bathtub with them-- much easier than holding on and hanging over the side. If you're looking to get him/her clean quickly (not playtime in the tub) than a shower is really the easiest. DH & I would often do this-- one gets in and gets clean while the other undresses baby and passes him/her in, a quick wash and pass baby back out.

I would have loved to do that, but my boys were chunky monkeys, lol. No way either DH or I would have been able to hold on to all that wet baby, let alone a wet and sudsy baby! Awesome if you can do it, though!

I took DD at 11 months. I put a small amount of water in the tub and she sat up. I had one hand holding her, and the other to wash her. I bought the baby magic cloths that you just have to get wet and it has soap on it and suds up. That was I didn't have to take my hand off of her to mess with putting soap on the wash cloth. I liked is so much, that I did the same when we went back when DD was 19 months and two years. I squeezed out some of the sudsand washed her hair with it too. It was very easy.

I always got in the tub with DS. We used his baby tub once and that was enough for me. I liked to have DH there to take DS when we were done, that way I wasn't wet and trying to step out while holding him.

I always just bathed with my little ones- or took them in my arms in the shower. For either one of those options- make sure you have someone to take the baby from you when you are done.
Also- I always wore a pair of cotton manicure gloves when in the tub with my girls. They were so slippery when wet and this way I could hold on to them without them slipping.

I always went for the sharing the tub approach. It was way easier and nicer to just get in the tub too.
