Has anyone been to a B&BW outlet before? Do they have good deals? There's a deal in their stores right now 5/$25 on signature products. I'm wondering if the outlet would have better deals than that.

Also, do they only sell outdated scents? I guess I just can't imagine what an outlet for B&BW would sell. I've been to a Yankee Candle outlet and they sell seconds and discontinued scents. I was wondering if this was the same deal.

The Williamsburg outlets just got a B&BW outlet, and I'm planning on driving up there in May but wanted to know if this current 5/$25 would be a better deal than I could find up there.

Anyone? :)

BBW outlets are awesome! When I go to visit my parents, I hit the one near them. Yes, you can do better than the 5/$25 deal at an outlet. When I went a few weeks ago, they had scents like Pear Blossom. Japanese Cherry Blossom, Gardenia, and Cotton Blossom for $3.99 each (both lotions and body wash). They also had several of the Spa things (the stuff in the blue packaging) like Toe the Line foot scrub for $1.99. It's also a good place to stock up on trial sizes for trips... I've seen trial size body washes and lotions for $.99!

I found the complete opposite of ilovedal3. We just got this store in our outlet in Williamsburg (IA) and the prices were the exact same as in the store! To me, an outlet should be less than what I would pay in the store, but the last 2 times I've been to our outlets I have been VERY disappointed in the "great deals" they have. Our Maurices store has the same jeans as the stores in the mall at the exact same price too. I am not sure what is up?!!!

I agree with threecrazykids - out "outlet" is so NOT!!!! I was so excited that we got one, and was so disappointed when I went. I'm in Baton Rouge and the store at the mall has the same prices!

I think it depends on the time of year and what sales they are running. I hit up that one you are talking about right after christmas and got some great deals on items.

OP- I find they have both new and discontinued scents so depending on what you are looking for you might be able to find it.

I went to the outlet at Gonzales, too, and found the prices and offerings to be the same as the stores in the mall.

Our local outlet store in a Prime Outlets looks the same as a regular store with regular prices. I think it might depend how busy the outlet is as to how many clearance items they receive. I have not found any great deals at my outlet.

Went to a new outlet mall in El Paso and found the prices high. If there was a discount from the mall prices, I sure couldn't tell.
Best deals were at Children's Place, Carter's, New Balance and VF.

I've been to both - one was just a regular B&BW store located in an outlet and they led you to believe it was an outlet with reduced pricing but it truly wasn't.

Then I went to another a few weeks ago that truly WAS an outlet. Discontinued products, old gift sets, tons of trial sizes, VERY cheap.

I bought 2 of the Henri Bendel candles for $6 each. They are $25 in the store. They were discontinued scents.

where can you find out where the outlets are? I have pretty good luck w/ b&bw when they have sales just at the regular store. I stock up when the hand soaps are $2 each (or I get a coupon making them $2 each). I use that kind of hand soap in the bathroom and kitchen, and I have a ton stocked up in my closet. My SO complains when I buy so much but I always tell him 'it's not like we're going to stop using hand soap' and he never complains that we've run out!

tricia.

Just because it's at an outlet mall doesn't mean it's an outlet. The outlet mall near me has a Bath and Body Works and they always just had the regular mall prices. Yesterday I stopped there and now the sign above the door says Bath and Body Works Outlet. What a big difference! I got Warm Vanilla Sugar creamy body wash that was marked $9 for $3.99. Flowering Herbs Shower gel was $2.99 down from $9.50. Travel sized shower gels were 87 cents instead of $3.50. Breathe body lotion was 99 cents instead of $6.00.:woohoo:

Of course they don't have all fragrances but there were some really good deals.

Small world! We are in Iowa, and I was here a couple of weeks ago!! I didn't think this one was an outlet, just a regular store in the outlet mall. I've read that unless the store actually says "outlet" in its name, it's not a discount store.

AH HA! This post prompted me to search online, and then call them. I found this: http://www.primeoutlets.com/brandscat.asp?cntrId=

Listed are both "Bath & Body Works" and "Bath & Body Works Outlet." I called the Williamsburg store and asked if they were a B&BW AT the outlets or if they were a B&BW Outlet. They told me they were just a regular B&BW at the outlets (which matches with what that site said). BUGGER!

I just got a $10 off $30 purchase coupon in the mail, and their 5/$25 is a pretty good deal, if I add another $5 to it, I could save $10.

I always buy B&BW stuff way before Christmas as presents. I like buying the regular current scents so people don't know I'm a cheapskate :rotfl:

Thanks for all your help guys... too bad there isn't a real outlet here :sad2:

There is one in an outlet mall in North Carolina on 95. I cannot remember the name but we stopped there(wait it's Carolina Pottery Outlets I think) last year and they had tons and tons of outlet prices. NOne of he stuff was full price. They had things for 99c. I got my niece a ton of American Girl cosmetics and filled a big bag for Christmas. They also had these cute Goldie nail polish bottles shaped like flowers. The original price was 5.00 and they were 99c. They too made great stocking stuffers.

I have seen a bunch of b&bw stores in outlet malls and when they are not really outlets it really ticks me off. I think...what right do they have to get me all excited and then dash my hopes.
