Hi all!

Just wanted to share - I went to B&B today and the $109 gift sets (nice bag, gel, lotion and spray, loofah, martini shaker, hand lotion and lip gloss plus the fragrance plug in plus one fragrance refill - plus a rubber duck!) were 75% off. It rang up $27 and then I got a clearance $3 lip gloss for dd to bring the total to just over $30 - then used the $10 off $30 purchase coupon (found in another thread on Budget Board) - grand total was about $21!

This is a wonderful secret santa gift for next year for my girls gathering - our limit is $25!

Then inside is a free signature collection ($10.50) with any purchase. This expires so I had to use it now - so picked up another clearance $3 item and got a cucumber lotion for myself! All this for about $25 total.

Such a great deal I'm printing off another coupon now and going back in a little bit - if there are any left - piano teacher is getting a great Holiday gift next year too!

I saw that bag online and thought it was really cute. Great deal you got!! May I ask which thread you found the other coupon on? I looked but didn't see one... Thanks!

Go to Bradsdeals. They have any coupon that you are looking for. I went yesterday but I got lotions instead. I bought nine lotions w/coupon for $21.24.

I am going today, wish me luck. I got a $40 gift card & with the $10 off coupon I could be set for the whole year.

Kae

I'm hopefully going to go tonight! DH is going to watch DD. I have my coupon and am ready to shop!!! :goodvibes

I have a $10 off coupon and a $20 giftcard. I'm waiting for the foam burst. ANyone know when those will be instock??

How long will lotion and bodywash last? I got a bunch of victoria secret lotions with my $50 giftcard i got from their promotion.

The only thing i get from BB is antibacterial soaps, antibacterial gels and room freshners.

I might use these for gifts next year depending on shelf life

I got one last night, it looks like a summer beach type bag...so I'm saving it for DD's Easter Basket. She loves the Coconut stuff that's in it. They also had a few of the black friday free bags left at 50% they have a $10 off inside good until 12-31. They were totally sold out of the Peppermint Twist which I love. I would order online but the shipping is high.

I ordered last night using special20 code to get 20% off which amounted to almost exactly my shipping cost so it was a wash.

Sorry to go off topic a little, but I want to stop in BBW today...

I have a gift card to Victoria Secret, will they take it at BBW? I heard you can, but I would love to hear from someone who actually did it!

I heard that you can use the credit card but not a gift card. Maybe give them a call to double check :confused3

I ended up going last night and got a bunch of stuff. Used a $10 of $30 coupon which helped! I was bummed that they were out of Twisted Peppermint which is my fave, but I had stocked up on a bunch of the lotion in October so hopefully it will last for a while. It seemed like the whole store was on sale! some of my things rang up lower than I thought but I think they had just been placed in the wrong bins. Lower is always good

I'm tempted to order some Twisted Peppermint soap online but the shipping is the only thing stopping me. $6 is a lot. I know there is the 20% code, which helps, but still.... I should probably stop buying stuff now

Realistically how good do you think those products will be after a year? Anyone that knows B&BW would know that it was a year old.

Good point about the year old thing and I did notice that they have started marking dates on their products. I find it kind of funny since they never used to do it and I'm SURE the only reason they did it is not because it loses any effect (or if it does, very little I would bet) - but just so people don't stock up early for the long haul.

Also anyone who knows BBW will know that this gift is WAY MORE than the $25 gift limit we have - so that the ONLY way to have gotten it for this exchange would be way clearanced, as in 'last year's line'.

So, let me ask - would any of you like to receive this gift early next December or would you think it was 'too old'?

About the only thing I wouldn't give a year old is food. Lotions and soaps - sure - no problem. What do you think?

I wouldn't care that it was a year old as long as it would be the scents I regularly use. Most of the people I know don't care about the fact that it was last year's line if it is what they regularly use.

Wouldn't bother me at all -- in fact it would make me feel great that the gift-giver got a good deal on the purchase.

I really can't believe some of the snarky comments I've read here this morning.

Just went to bath and body works at the mall with my 10 off 30 printable and did really well (after I already ordered some serious clearance online the other night). Got shower gels in classic fragrances for 3 for 10!

My thoughts are who cares if its not the newest things they sell. If you go to the outlet, you sometimes find older things and technically you just bought it. Most of the time, the scents don't change, just the packaging and even then you sometimes run across older packaging in the store.

Food goes bad, lotion really doesn't. I buy my soaps on sale and load my cupboard full. They last a long time and I find them to be the same as when I bought them. As long as you keep your candles sealed, they too will be fine.

I got 2 of these sets and when I got home, I was missing a duck! I am going to call and see if they will grab me one.

I have some now that is over a year old and it's perfectly fine. I would think it's a very nice gift.

I think it is perfectly fine to give it as a gift next year! I would appreciate it. Just make sure you know the person you give it to so you know if they like that kind of scent and then your good to go. You could also break the set up into a few smaller gifts if needed.
