Bath and Body Works - can items be returned?

My Dh bought me some shower gel from Bath and Body Works.

Unfortunately, some of them are scents that I would never use. Has anyone ever returned items to BBW? Do they have you exchange the items or issue a gift card? Do I need the receipt?

Yes, you can return there. I am not sure if you can return without reciept. I always just exchanged for something else and didn't bother with store credit or a full credit.

I've also exchanged for a fragrance that I liked but have never exchanged for a credit. I would imagine if you have the receipt you could just return it.

No, you do NOT need a receipt. They have a really nice policy. If you do not like the scent, bring it back and exchange for something else you DO like.

I asked beforehand, because I opened a bottle of foaming soap that made my hands smell like pickles...it was so gross!!! They said people exchange stuff all the time-no problem.

As PP stated you do not need a receipt if you want to exchange for the same item just a different scent. If you are returning a hand soap and want credit, they issue store credit for whatever the sale price is at the current moment. For example, 3 for $10 you would $3.33 credit towards whatever you wanted. I worked there for 6 years...our policy was very flexible to the point people abused it. I still shop there and love it.
