Bass Fishing Excursion

Which lake would you recommend to catch the most fish: Seven Seas lake, Epcot Lake, or Downtown Disney Lake? Would Mid-March be a good time to go?

We've done the bass excursion many times and enjoy it every time. We've always taken our excursion from Yacht Club (simply because we usually stay at BW and it's convenient) and we like the 10am time. On all trips we've caught many bass and had a great time. We've fished in World Showcase, near the EPCOT resorts and near DHS. We've had the same guide every time and always request him. His name is Rick - he's great. We usually go in August. From what I understand there's a good amount of bass all throughout the lakes as they are protected. Plus the guides know where they've been biting and will move locations to make sure you catch as many as you can. Our son who is 8 loves the fishing trips...he always catches a lot. I'm not sure if this is much help, but my first inclination is to pick the location / time that works best with your schedule.

We've done MK & Epcot. Both were great. I think we caught more in MK area but Epcot was cool because we started off on the water inside Epcot before going near BW & DHS. It's hard to say which we enjoyed more so the advice of most convenient is probably best.

We have fished the MK end and with 3 trips have never caught more than 3 fish for the whole boat. Can anyone suggest a good guide for MK in January? Seems like a lot of money for 3 fish but my DH really wants to go.

What month? We've gone in August both times. Maybe a later time is better if you're going in colder months.

What time of year was it and how cold please?

Our early morning excursions were 7:00 in April, June and August. Our 10 am was in June I don't remember temps.

We always request Rick as our Fishing Guide...I don't think it matters from where you fish...in talking with him it seems he's fished in all the areas (we usually do EPCOT) so that's who I would ask for no matter where I fished from. Many people think 7am is the best (I guess early and fishing go hand in hand), but we've always done 10am and had great success. On out last trip Rick said we did better at 10 then they did at 7am.
