Bass Fishing Excursion Tip

We will be going on a fishing trip and I'm wondering how much I should tip the fisherman who takes us. Clearly I will adjust based on service, but does the customary wait staff tip of 15-20% also apply here?

We haven't done the fishing yet but plan on doing it on our next trip. The morning trip for 2 - 5 people is $270.00, so I would think a tip of $40 - $50 would be appropriate depending on the level of service & fun.

We used the 20% off coupon for our trip. It was a nice savings. Unfortunately my husband and I didn't think about a tip until the last minute, so we were both scrambling around awkwardly. Very smart of you to think of this ahead of time!
