I am pretty sure I have seen a parade that had Mater and Lightning driving in it....I just can't remember what it was!!! It wouldn't have been Stars and Cars Motor parade? Hmmmmm maybe

Love the update Brook! I cant wait to see Star Tours refurbed...we arrive on May 27th, so it will be nice and new then. The picture of the lady in the Star Tours video with all her hair knotted on the one side always cracks me up--thanks for posting a picture of that
Looks like you guys had a great DHS day! Love the character interactions. We met Lotso on our trip this past May and loved him...I couldnt believe he was a villan when the CM told me (of course this was before the movie came out).

Brook, what an awesome update. I love all the photopass pics with Henry and the characters, especially when he is just "swallowed up".

I must tell you that I still carry baby wipes...and it is just DH and I that travel. But "Grumpy" has major issues with chocolate getting all over (I also carry a Tide stick with me too!).

Can't wait to hear about DTD.

It was 483 million degrees out and the Block Party Bash was heading down the street. We attempted to get some sort of view of the parade, but failed miserably and we were all soon completely covered in ice cream.

These pictures look oh so familiar!

After all was eaten or melted we wiped ourselves clean - I think I will carry baby wipes with me until Henry is a teenager. And perhaps even then.


I think this goes down for refurb very soon and back up as Disney Junior right during the middle of our trip. I gotta look into that! The new show should be fun, even though Henry won't know any of the new shows they are adding. Are they even on the Disney channel yet?
I know Madie is only seven months old, but man, when Playhouse Disney comes on, man, she wiggles and giggles with delight, especially through the music. I was hoping to take her to this in October to see how she liked it. Bummer.

So great that you visited Star Wars on the last day. I loved seeing the queue pics because I suppose it will never look like that again. I wish it would open by the time I visit in Early May, but...oh well.

Oy to the Bus! Uggghhhhh! I feel sorry for that lady - I mean, lesson learned and all that. But I hate those type of waits!

I think some of playhouse disney will remain the same: Handy Manny, Mickey Mouse clubhouse. I believe the new show, ____ and the pirates (jake?) will be added to it. That show looks cute, it has captain hook in it!

It sounds like a great day at DHS!! You did a lot! I'm a fan of Mama Melrose! It's not the best italian I've ever had but it's good! I think the carbs and protein do it for me! LOL! It's also such a cool place!!!

I have a tiny bit of bad news! I had to move our March trip! DD's school schedule just didn't allow for me to take her out in March! So, we're going Feb 20th - 25th! The bummer is we're going to miss you by 3 days! REALLY!? That stinks!

Great update! I love the way you guys go with the flow!

I wouldn't rush the potty training right before a trip. You will need to bring ziplocks with entire changes for those times when you only have a 30 second notice before getting to the restroom! I remember my oldest on his first trip; he had been trained for about three months, but still required at least one emergency change each day!

I enjoyed the trip through Hollywood. Henry holding on to his three little buses - cute.

Visiting the Swan and Dolphin is on my list of things to do. We almost made it last summer; we actually boarded a boat there, but we were pressed for time to go meet Trent, so we didn't have time to go inside.

Add me in as one who carries baby wipes, even when the girls aren't with me. They're just handy for all kinds of spills or just wiping off a surface or something.

I loved seeing Henry cuddle with Lotso. He is so stinkin' soft! You almost forget he's evil.

So did you like the chocolate covered banana? I know everyone is into the Mickey Bars and whatnot, but for whatever reason, my Disney treat of choice is a chocolate covered banana, they seem to taste the best at Disney! Seeing that picture brought me right back to the World. *sigh*

Joe was excited to see this - he has yet to see the movie in theaters, but I might make him go this weekend, I know he REALLY wants to see it! I do too, but I don't think Henry would sit still during it, and I can wait until DVD.

We found the Lotso meet & greet area easily and quickly, it's a very cute queue area decorated to look like the Sunnyside Daycare.

Like Sully, Lotso about swallowed Henry.

We took our time walking out of the park and dipped into a few shops.

The look on Henry's face when he first sees Lotso is priceless. Isn't that what it's all about?
Wow! I do not remember seeing those scarves around last year. I wear scarves almost everyday and something is telling me I would have purchased at least one of those. And MY MICKEY HEAD EARRINGS!!!! I love those earrings! I thought they were so cute; gold and silver and you can't quite be sure they're Mickeyheads until you're really close. Those I had purchased. I wore them almost everyday for several months. And then I lost one. So glad to see they are still there!

It sounds like you had a wonderful day at DHS. I can say that none of the new shows that are being advertised for the new Disney Junior are on the Disney channel yet. Unfortunately for me, Max discovered Special Agent Oso recently and has wanted to watch that. Not exactly the greatest show. I am wondering if Max will possibly konk out in his stroller at all while we're there. I would hope so, but Max doesn't tend to just fall asleep very many places; sometimes in the car, but that's about it.

As for the training, Max was very similar. He seemed really afraid to go in the potty. When we tried last summer, using the take the diaper off, commando method, he really freaked and was very upset. So, we put the diaper back on and let it go for awhile. My mom then found Max a "Cars" potty. Its pretty cool. It has a handle you can "flush" that sounds like a motor revving. Needless to say, Max loved it! We tried again, in earnest, over Christmas break and he just started. And now we can't get him to stop! Henry will find his way, too. I've heard a lot of stories about boys and training where folks say that it just sort of "clicks" at some point for their son and they're good to go, as it were.

We're going to miss eachother by about a half hour. That's too bad. A meet would have been so much fun!

Fabulous update Brook!

So many great Henry pictures in this one, the character & ice cream pics are priceless! Of course, I'm not sure I like that rotten bear hugging sweet little Henry I guess he's soft and huggable, but I'm still baffled as to why Disney chose him to do the meet & greet.

I've always wanted to meander through the Star Tours que and just check everything out, I really like the que better than the ride! I'll be interested to see all the changes, hopefully I'll be able to ride the new one without feeling like I do on the current version.

Ugggg, what a mess with the bus! I'm sure the passenger that got off to help her figured he'd never get to DTD if he didn't do something

I still remember spending a long time in the Star Tours line at DL and DLP (which are different, but similar to WDW) when Star Tours actually attracted crowds and there wasn't any FP. Katharina and I used to really enjoy looking at all the details. Then this was a really well done queue line - now those at EE or even the interactive games at Soarin and Space Mountain set the standard. I am looking forward to see what it will look like in May!

BTW, did you see the Fantasyland announcement about the Mine Train coaster? I remember that I pointed you in the direction wdwmagic once where just this was discussed as a rumor. I am really excited about the new concept art.

Love the pics from Hollywood. I'm sad that Playhouse Disney is going to be down because Bella would really be into it right now. Can't wait to see the new one though! I will get a Mickey bar this trip!!!! I can't remember the last time I had one. This trip we have free dining so I won't be justifying a $4 ice cream when free ice water will cool me off just as well. I will just use a snack credit with reckless abandonment!!
