Based on MAIN pool: CBR or POR?

Helloooooo all! I snagged FD for September, wanted POR, but no standard views available. We are at CBR. Please get me excited about CBR's main pool to overcome my urge to keep looking for a standard at POR (my favorite resort).

We last stayed at CBR many moons ago before the renovation.

We used to be big POR fans until having to switch to CBR years ago. And ever since, we haven't been able to go back to POR. The main pool is one of the reasons, it really is great. The pool itself and the deck area are large and we've never not gotten a couple chairs to use. Our son loves both slides and feels they are better than POR.

But we fell in love with the laid back relaxed Island vibe at CBR. The grounds are just beautiful. We also like the food court and the sit down restaurant, Shutters, is better than Boatrights. Come on over and check out the first 2 pages of the CBR FAQ Thread. And if you still have any questions ask away, there's plenty of friendly and knowledgeable people who hang out over there.

Thank you very much! Wonderful insight! I figure I can't lose at CBR. I had read that thread earlier and it sounds like all rooms will be renovated by our September trip time. And who can dispute a pool that was totally closed for rebuilding? I just have that constant yearning to walk by the bridge near the POR mill daily and enjoy sweet cornbread at Boatwrights. Heck, I even LOVE the souvenir shop.

It's not that I'm harshing CBR, I just love POR.

We have stayed at POR 4 times and during our last stay, I really felt that I wanted to try something different. I was so happy to see that they were making some CBR rooms that could occupy 5. When free dining came along, I did not even try to get POR, I tried CBR right away and got a standard room. We are going in Aug/Sept. We can't wait to try the pool at CBR and are just excited about trying something new. It really seems like a great resort.

POR would be my first choice for sure. I just personally like the feel of the resort much more than CBR.
