In April I am having my sons 10th birthday party. It is baseball themed. So far all I have planned is a 3 inning baseball game, a baseball relay, then BBQ'd hotdogs, chips, crackerjacks, drinks, cupcakes frosted to look like baseballs, and maybe a pinata.

I was just wondering if anyone has had a birthday party like this and what did you do, serve or play.

Thanks

We did this for my son's birthday at about that age. We held ours at a batting facility, they closed it for the party. We had five stations to use, invited 14 kids plus our three boys. We just had a ball in the cages and pitching area. The dad's had fun getting in the auto cage (we have pics of them trying to use the kid sized batting helmets :rotfl: ). We also had one young man helping out, making sure the auto cage didn't jam and the boys didn't feed wiffle balls into the machine. He also gave them pointers on hitting and pitching.

We had pizza. I made a sheet cake, it was decorated like a baseball diamond. I found the players at Hobby Lobby. We gave goody bags with cracker jacks, sunflower seeds, I think baseball cards and gum.

I think you should play "Sweet Caroline" during the 7th inning stretch..... ;)

Sounds like a great party!

I can't WAIT for opening day!

I knew without looking you must be a New Englander!

OP, maybe you could get a couple of HS baseball players or older kids who play Babe Ruth or something to do a mini baseball clinic to help their technique. Or you could have some contests for who can hit the farthest, throw the fastest or farthest, etc.

If no one has allergies, don't forget the peanuts!

Sounds like a fun party.

Sounds like fun! Maybe give out foam fingers or something for a party favor. Oh, baseball cars would be a fun favor, too.
