I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question, but...
MIL, FIL, DH and I are planning on going to several of the Atlanta Braves spring training games during Spring Break. Of course the website says to purchase tickets in advance because they tend to sell out. Does anyone know if this is true or not? If it is, we'll go ahead and get the tickets, but if it's not a big deal I would rather wait. To tell the truth, I'm not wild on baseball games (I can handle one or two, maybe but FIVE? - yuck! ) and I am guessing I won't end up going to all of them - after, of course, I convince MIL that she doesn't have to skip them to keep me company (she LOVES baseball). I have always wanted to wander around the World Showcase by myself and this would be a perfect opportunity.
Oh - we'll be there for the last five games of spring training - I don't know if that makes any difference or not.
Thanks!

Yes, the tickets DO sell out, especially for the popular opponents. I myself can't figure out why anyone would pay good money to see the Braves but to each his/her own.

Seriously, I was at WWoS on the day single game tix went on sale and at that time some games were limited to just the bleachers. A lot of it depends on who they're playing and whether it is a weekend or weekday.

Thanks for the info. I for one wouldn't spend my money to see the Braves (my Dad played for one of the Cardinal's farm teams before he was in college and I was taught to revere Cincinnati's Big Red Machine - so I feel a little guilty) but DH and his family are obsessed! His mom will sit in the car IN THE DRIVEWAY and listen to games on the radio if they are not on tv. I can't imagine ANYTHING on earth more boring than baseball on the radio!:p My dad has never even been able to make my mom understand what a double play is - she thinks it's "rude" to get two people out at the same time!

I just looked into tickets for the last week of spring training and for most of the games I was limited to just grass seats - which are even worse than bleachers. To answer your question many games are already sold out. You need to get tickets from the evil Ticketmaster empire in advance. The Braves games are even more popular due to their location than other teams games.

We always go to a spring training game during our annual March trip. The games do sell out. For example, we wanted to see Braves vs. Yankees. Those tkts. sold out on the day Ticketmaster put them on sale. However, we were able to get good seats, at the gate, for Braves vs. Devil Rays playing a night game. If you decide to wait until you are in FL & get sold out of WWOS, there are lots of other spring training camps in the area. If you plan on having a car, the Yankees are in Tampa, the Dodgers are in Vero Beach, and I think there are teams in Kissimmee, Lakeland & Clearwater. Spring training games are fun, but I agree with you that 5 games, during a WDW trip seems like an awful lot of BB.

The Braves games DO sell out. With the fan situation you described in the family, purchasing the tickets now is in order. You may not be able to get them if you wait longer.

I have a pair of tickets to the Braves vs. Mets spring training game scheduled for 1:05 p.m. on Saturday, March 27th which I purchased from Ticketmaster the day the single game tix went on sale. They are in section 208, row U, seats 6 and 7 of Cracker Jack Stadium at WWoS. I had improvised this trip in a hurry and since then several things have happened, which combined make this trip impossible.

I wanted to offer these first, at my cost, to the Disboard family. The total charge was $42.50 for the pair, and I would prefer to send them insured to the new owners, which is another couple of dollars. PM if you can give them a good home. :(
