Here's some of DS8 and DNephew6 at one of their games last week. Keeping the scorebook, running the scoreboard and taking pics all at the same time is not a fun job! I hope to have some better ones a little later in the season.

Went to another Red Sox game last night. The game went into the 12th inning, but we left after the 11th. Got there early enough to catch the end of the Sox batting practice. Our seats were a little closer to the field, but on the 1st base side this time. Sox ended up winning, but we heard the end on the radio on the drive home.

We did see JD Drew hit a Grand Slam and also saw 2 other Sox home runs. Also Josh Hamilton hit a ball that went to about the 12th row in dead center. To the wall at dead center at Fenway its 420. This was one heck of a hit.

David Ortiz (he's probably done, unfortunately. He just can't hit his way out of a paper bag. To bad because he has become a hero in Boston for what he's done with his bat):

Darnell McDonald. 31 year old careen minor leaguer who got called up to Boston because of injuries. Pre game TV interview. Pinch hit the night before and hit a 2 run home run to tie the game, then got the game winning single in the bottom of the 9th. Last night he went 2 for 2 with a walk in his first 3 at bats including hitting another home run.

We probably wont do another Sox game this year unless I come across free tickets. I've already spent over $200 just for game tickets and that's enough for this season. DS and I are going to do a AA game in New Hampshire next month. Little league starts in 2 weeks and I'm hoping to get to some Cape Cod League games this summer.

That doesn't sound like fun.

I do have a suggestion for you though, you should try croping some of these down to get more of your subject filling the frame.

Thanks for the advice! I'll try that next time. Hopefully next game I can get some better ones!

Are we the only one's playing?

We've still got snow on the ground. Wish I would have had my camera last week when my son had baseball practice in a late spring snow-storm...those would have been great.

Great pictures - didn't expect to find a baseball thread here. My DH loves minor league baseball. We go to games all over the place and he takes pictures of the "kids" and then gives them to them. They're still at that level where they really appreciate it - especially the Moms! Here's a link to some of his shots from this season.
