Ok, so I don't have any kids, so it would seem stalkerish for some guy to be taking photos of kids he has nothing to do with, so all I have are shot of my beloved Astros. Win or lose, that's my team on the field.....

Mariners?! Do you have any of my boy's main man, Ichiro? Go #51!:cool1:

I think I will burst if I don't share this.

Last night, my son's 11U team was winning their last playoff game, then their opponents tied the score in the top of the 6th (last) inning. Our team had last ups, though.

My son led off, and hit a walkoff, game winning, in-the-park Home Run :yay: :yay: :yay: which sends them to the World Series tomorrow night!

He's been on :cloud9: ever since!

Now the downside. I was at work :headache: and I doubt that anyone else captured the moment in pictures. Don't you just hate when that happens?

PS he is the young man at the top of this page watching the game.

I'm thinking someone lost a bet or something.

DH just told me it was Rookie Hazing! :lmao:

DS got to pitch for the first time last week. He was very excited and actually did a very good job, especially for a 7 year old.

good for him. But you need to teach him how to tuck his glove arm in, it will keep him in balance and let him be much more accurate. (sorry baseball coach in me coming out)

Yeah. He also doesn't have a follow through with the right foot and his left foot was all over the place. Even with all that he was one of the few 7 year olds that could get it to the plate. He made a LOT of nice pitches right over the plate.

that's good, most 7 year olds don't have the self presence to be able to stand up there.

For the landing foot, I had mine go out and practice on the sidewalk, making sure he hit the grove everytime, once they do that a hundred or so times it is just habit to step straight.

The trailing leg really doesn't matter too much as long as it doesn't throw them off from being able to field their position.

I miss those day's, mine bairly wants to listen to me anymore about it, even though I have watched him throw more pitches than anyone else, and can see what he is doing wrong before anyone else.
