The season just got started here in the northeast. Here's a shot from my kid's Babe Ruth league team.
I knew those composite bats were supposed to flex, but I didn't expect this...
I'm a nurse for a special needs child with Down's Syndrome. Our area has a league called Mauldin Miracle League. It's for any child up to the age of 19 that has a mental or physical need. We have spring sessions and fall sessions. So, this was the first spring game I could get to:
Rodney with helper from a local high school team. Dad is coaching.
Swing Slugger!
Let me go.......I'm going to steal second!
Running home hard (at least my buddy is )
Their version of sliding in
Just FYI-I hate what Photobucket does to my pics! How do you get clear pics our of photobucket, when they start out so clear and crisp???
Last Monday, we went to see our local minor league (class A) baseball team, the Dayton Dragons. The weather was perfect and we had OK seats on the 3rd baseline, towards the outfield. If the left fielder had seen any action, I was poised for a perfect shot.
I like baseball, but I find my mind wanders during the games, so my shots are not necessarily of the action, but of my surroundings.
PoohJen,
That is the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. This is their first season and the stadium is small but nice. We had lawn seats in the outfield but it was a weeknight game and there was only a small crowd. I was able to walk around and get pretty close to the field.
Here is Pinch thier mascot....he is a crab apparently...?????
Here's the sunset from the same night. I've never tried sunset pics before but this is one of the few that I thought came out o.k.
Suburbanmom- I love all your pictures. They are very creative, especially the food and glove. I am going to a Red Sox game tonight, and you have inspired me. Of course, now that I said that here, I won't get anything postable, but I'll have fun trying. I'm sure I'll get one of my son and some cotton candy.
I went to the red sox game friday night, and for me and my son, his first game, it was awesome, but not so much for the sox. I got a few decent pics, but didn't take as many as I would like. I put the camera away when my son was eating cotton candy, and fries with ketchup, etc.
My son loved playing catch with this guy on yawkey way before the game.
The world series ring replica we bought a raffle ticket to win a real one.
Went down to Jersey to visit my sister and her husband. While there we went to a Can-Am League game. This is an independent minior league conference with no affliation with any major league teams. Some of the players may have played in MLB or a minor league affiliate or are college players who weren't drafted.
We saw the New Jersey Jackals play the Sussex Skyhawks. Cool stadium on the campus of Montclair State University. It's Yogi Bera Stadium:
Great pictures, Kyle. That one with the moon is amazing.
I know you are from MA, and I wondered if you have ever been to see the Portland Seadogs? We are going in a couple of weeks, and I heard it is a pretty fun stadium. They let the kids run the bases after some of the games.
