I read some of the threads but could not find an answer to my specific questions. I have accumulated a fair amout of supplies over the past 6 months but have not started - ugh.

1st - What is the best way to attach a patterned 12x12 sheet to the white sheet included in the scrapbook?

2nd - Say I attach and do the sheet mentioned above. Do I "glue" another sheet on the opposite side or use another white sheet and have 2 white sheets back to back in the sleeve?

Thanks for any direction - I really want to do this!

You don't have to attach the 12x12 paper to the white sheet. Some people leave the sheet in but personally I take it out. It's all about personal preference.

There are different types of adhesives out there. I like to mostly use the photo mounting squares. They are in a small box that feeds the tabs out as you pull on it. Stick those tabs to the back side of the object you want to attach and peel off the blue paper, it is now sticky on both sides. Then adhere it to the under layer. Does that make sense?

As for ? #2 you could attach to the back side of the white sheet, however, it will limit you to leaving your pages where you put them or moving them together. Sometimes I rearrange my pages as I scrap so attaching back to back is not the way to go for me.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

As with most scrapping, it's pretty much up to you. (I know - not really helpful. ;))

Some people just slide the patterned paper (PP) in the sheet protector over the white sheet.

Some people pull out the white sheet if the end page is sturdy enough - like if you've created your page on cardstock (CS).

I've done both of those, but have also used adhesive to stick the PP to the white sheet because it (white) wasn't very heavy & neither was the paper. I like the Creative Memories (CM) tape runner for stuff like that...it doesn't take much adhesive...just enough to stick them together in each corner. I wouldn't use any kind of liquid adhesive though...I tried that once and the paper ended up wrinkling. :(

In a smaller book - like a Circle Journal - I sewed the paper onto the white backsheet.

I agree with the liquid thing, I used it and ended up with circular imprints on the corners of my pics where the glue was :(

I agree with the above posters: it is completely up to you. I take the white sheet out and attach my patterened paper if I want white as a base. Otherwise I save it to mat my picture and replace it with another sheet of cardstock. I don't attach back to back because I sometimes move things around.

HTH!

I also take out the white sheet and put my own pages in done on regular cardstock or patterned paper if it is strong enough.

I very rarely will use white as my background color. I will take the white that comes with the page out and with use CS or PP. The white paper gets used as "art" paper for my 2 yr old and then I take a picture of him coloring and put it on the corner of it and wha-la another page done. :cool1:
