My husband and I now take adult trips. Our daughter is grown and takes her family and when we don't join them, we enjoy taking trips by ourselves. One thing we like to do is visit a nice bar/lounge in the evening for drinks and appetizers. We have a tendency to visit the same places and I would like to try some new places on our next trip.

We've been to places at Wilderness Lodge, Grand Floridian, Ragland Road, Edison, Mexico (Epcot). Do you have a favorite bar/lounge you like to go to? If there's music that would be a be big plus. A long time ago, there use to be music at Port Orleans. Does anyone know if they still have that?

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

I love the bar at Flying Fish. No live entertainment, but the bartenders will take great care of you!

I want to go check out Trader Sams Grotto at the Poly when we go. It looks very fun! Granted, this is going back a bit, but when we went back when it was still Downtown Disney (and before we had kiddos), House of Blues had musicians playing outside. We just stumbled upon it, so we sat down and had some drinks. So I don't know if they still have people playing outside since it's changed, but if they do, I recommend it!
Also I hear Jellyrolls on the Boardwalk is a lot of fun with the dueling Pianos.

Yeehaa Bob is still doing his thing at Riverside, and there is also live entertainment at French Quarter that is a bit more contemporary. As far as bars go, I enjoy Jellyrolls as well, and if it's more of a lounge that you're looking for, I really like Crews Cup Lounge at YC. Food there is really good there as well!

I've been to Trader Sam's Grog Grotto and Enchanted Tiki Bar in Disneyland and really enjoy the Skippers, drink menu and food. The antics just take it all to a whole new level, its the most adult fun you can have at Disney without being in the parks.

I would add there is a waterfall wall outside between sam's grotto and the pool. Live entertainment evenings and same drinks as inside sam's grotto.

My family and I have always tried to have a cocktail after we arrive back from the parks. Here are some of our favorites:
  1. Tambu Lounge at Poly ( this was before Trader Sam's and we haven't had an opportunity to try there yet but it's on the list )
  2. Mizner's at GF ( currently under construction ) but we loved to listen to the big band that plays there. ( The band is still playing they have just moved temporarily )
  3. Roosters Roost at POR ( Yeehaw Bob is still playing )
  4. Bellevue Room at Boardwalk Inn ( old time radio shows on the radio and can play board games )
  5. Jelly Rolls at Boardwalk ( dueling pianos )

I always find the resort bars to be rather dead, outside of Mizners - that was a fun one. Tambu was crowded, but it was with people waiting to eat at O'hana, the service was painfully slow and had to wait forever for drinks. As a guest at Poly, we found it very frustrating.

We are staying at Gran Destino next trip and between the 2 new lounges in the tower and the Three Bridges Bar/Grill out on the lake, I'm expecting a livelier, fun vibe. :)
