This is kind of embarrassing, lol. My wife have been to WDW several times. We love almost everything about it. We have been planning a January trip with our adult kids and their significant others. In doing so, we've discovered that we have a huge blind spot at this amazing place. You see, my wife and I don't drink alcohol very much. We don't have an issue with it. We just don't do it. One of the kids asked me if there were any cool bars at WDW. I was stumped. I mean, I know there are but I have no idea. Since Disney does a pretty great job with its restaurants, I guess I'd expect some of the same with its bars/lounges. Are there 'must-see' bars/lounges that you'd recommend? If so, do you have advice for going to them? Are reservations possible? And while we're at it, recommendations of specific drinks would be awesome, too. My kids will be shocked if we go to a bar and I have a recommendation, lol. Thank you!

WBG has an amazing wine selection, the Polite Pig fabulous bourbons and JL Hanger bar has a fun atmosphere. Rain Forest cafe bar at DS has the most generous free pours. In the parks Nomads in AK is great and Base Line in HS or HBD also in HS (they have a martini flight). Cava in Epcot is fun, as is Trader Sams at the Poly. Rose Lounge at GF is nice. There are so many. I like my alcohol unadulterated, and mainly avoid cocktails so I am sure others will advise you about those. The Polite Pig has a nice ‘old fashioned’ and I would probably recommend that or the martini flight at HBD. Avoid the premixed cocktails at all costs, particularly the ones in AK. And at Chef Art avoid the nasty premixed moonshines and get a freshly made one. Have fun and don’t get tipsy. 😉
WBG takes reservations on OT but not many of the others do. Oh and Abracadabar on the Boardwalk has a great atmosphere… actually feels like a bar.

It really depends on what you/they are into. Trader Sam's Grog Gotto (tiki bar) is one of the best themed and enjoyable bars IMHO. Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar is pretty amazing too, both have a great back story. You can find menus for both online. Be aware that getting in to Trader Sam's requies a wait, it only seats 50ish people and it's VERY popular so you need get on the wait list and that can take a while depending on when you go.

Our favorites:
1. Nomad Lounge
2. Trader Sam’s
3. Hollywood Brown Derby (bar outside)
4. Wine Bar George
5. Victoria Falls

That would our list, and I would add Abracadabar on Board Walk and Baseline TapHouse at HS.
Nomad is just a beautiful setting outside by the river.
Trader Sams is an experience not to be missed.
Wine Bar George - if you enjoy wine, they have a tremendous selection and they know their stuff. Have had amazing flights there as well.
Victoria Falls in AKL is nice. We generally get our drinks to go and then sit outside by the firepit or just enjoy the savannah.
Abracadabar has some really fun drinks (magic and all)
Baseline - has some nice craft beer from California.

One other as its a fun experience is Ogas in HS. The cocktails are all pre-mixed, but it is a fun Star Wars inspired atmosphere. If you are seated at the bar, the bartenders are a lot of fun.

We really love River Roost at POR and Abracadabar at BW (sadly jelly rolls would open after we left).
Also my parents really enjoyed Baseline in DHS-they went there when I built my Lightsaber and droid

My favorite was the lounge at The Wave. So sad it’s gone. The atmosphere was nice and chill, and I loved the local beer flight.

I prefer to stay away from the lounges inside the parks. My first pick of resort lounges is California Grill at the Contemporary Hotel. If you are lucky enough to be there at sunset or during fireworks it is spectacular. There is the added benefit of being able to order from the restaurant menu. My second choice would be Trader Sam's. Disney Springs has several good lounges. Jock Lindsey's, the Edison, and the Forbidden Lounge at Morimoto's are among my favorites. As a fun activity, ride the resort monorail visiting the lounges at the three resorts.

I also would recommend the River Roost at POR if you also want some free entertainment. Yehaa Bob Jackson is back at the River Roost playing most Wednesdays thru Saturdays. He is a an amazing piano player/comic and provides a great show. Check him out online. He starts at 9:00 pm.

We absolutely loved Geyser Point - the outdoor bar at WL
Nomad Lounge at AK is our 2nd fave

Is the entrance to this easy to find?
Yes. I have not been since since the covid reopening, but am guessing everything is the same. You can enter through main dining area or the side entrance by Raglan Road.

The hotel lounges are great for people with adult kids, not so great for adult kids. They like "cooler" places. Thus, I won't give you my picks, but rather my sons.
1. City Works at DS.
2. Hanger Bar at DS
3. Splitsville
4. Drinking around the World- Epcot
5. Stargazers at DS

He also likes Geyser if he can sit at the bar.

I second everyone saying Geyser Point. Bring an appetite so you can try the BBQ brisket chips and/or bison burger. And bonus points if you go late at night so you can catch the Electric Water Pageant!
