Barry Manilow.....

There were alot of his songs knit into medlies. He sang full songs from his semi new 50's hits album- Venus, Unchained Melody, It's Not For Me To Say, Love Is a Many Splendored Thing and Are You Lonesome Tonight. He had a GREAT group of songs from his Here At The Mayflower album. He sang fully Copacabana, I Write The Songs, Mandy and Bandstand (I think!)- I'm sure there were more, but I just can't remember. But I know what you're saying. I did walk away thinking he didn't sing many of his hits- but I wasn't too disappointed because the concert was so great!

Ok, no offense to any Barry fans out there -
I have nothing to add to this thread other than i was shocked when i was running down the list of topics to check out and i saw that there are currently three pages about Barry Manilow... Who knew???

CookieGVB and I went to that taping (which was not really at the 100th show, but a few days earlier).

Barry's production company, Stiletto, also produces shows for the Holland America Cruise Line. They hire 20-something singers and dancers to be in the shows. As we found out, they flew in these "kids" to be in the audience, and gave them seats in the first few centered rows. And then put them on camera.

Although they made it appear that Barry's audience is getting younger and younger, there were plenty of us "old geezers" in the showroom that never made it on camera!

I just bought the DVD of Barry at the Hilton in Vegas

and I was surprised at how young the audience looked

I was expecting a 40-50 age grroup and it seemed to be more20-30ish
