Barry Hussein????

You know, its like in elementary school - when the idiots can't find anything real to taunt you about, they make fun of your name...

I agree. I've thought that about people many times over the last eight years.

Glad some people can give you a laugh! :lmao: :lmao:

I prefer B-O myself. :teeth:

I don't like it either but then I don't laugh at ethnic or racial jokes either so what do I know?

When it was said in a mean or spiteful way I did. I look forward to the day when people can disagree with the President and not get so insulting.

Again, does that only apply when BO is President, or do you speak out for Bush as well?

Don't really care what other people choose to call him. You can call him Mr. Crappy pants, he's still gonna be POTUS and there's nothing 'they' can do about it!

Only the Government cheese thing, I hear that stuff is nasty! :lmao:

Yeah, well it makes a YUMMY grilled cheese sandwich! :thumbsup2
(We had it a few times when I was a kid, during the Reagan years...)

I personally prefer PRESIDENT-ELECT BARACK OBAMA soon to be PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA.

Are you actually saying that you believe that there's absolutely NOTHING about George W. Bush to make fun of, aside from his name?!?!?! :lmao: :lmao: Oh, honey. I beg to differ...

Thanks for assuming my intentions, but you are 100% WRONG. :dance3:

Who the **** attributed that to you? I was quoting another poster!

But, since you brought it up. Why do you refer to the President Elect as "Barry," H, BO and/or Hussein?" Respect? 'Cuz your his bud and fondly remember the good old days? Or, because it's more PC than calling him the pejoratives that he is called "in private?"

One other note about this; critics generally did not refer to GWB in a disparaging manner until long after he was elected, until his poor performance fostered in them that disrespect. The basic principle for honorable folks should be to respect the office and respect the person occupying the office until he lies to you or commits arguably heinous acts from that office.

I did not vote for Obama.
But I will give him the respect that he is due because he is the future President of the United States.

I look forward to Jan when people will not be saying that they hate the President of the United States.

I think "Hussein" specifically is not really used as an insult against the President-elect (at least not a significant insult), but rather as fear-mongering. Its most significant artifact is disrespect of the general public (and in that case, it shows great disrespect).

You have to wonder about someone, who is trying to make a point, who in doing so actively insults the people he's trying to convince.

Yeah, kind of like calling Bush "dubya." Not W, but dubya. It implied "stupid hick" and we heard eight years worth of it. Now these same people are acting holier than thou about Barack Obama's middle name. Hysterical!

I think your thinking too deep. I think people use it simply to annoy the **** out of Obama supporters. Apparently it works.

Enough said. :thumbsup2

Let us not get a head of ourselves, I can think of a few things that are way funnier

There are things to make fun of all our Presidents (including BO), but that has nothing to do with the post I commented on sweetheart.:goodvibes
