It's just so funny when pets see snow for the first time isn't it! Phoebe (my dog) went loopy yesterday and the cold white stuff taking over her garden and turned into a raving lunatic racing around at 90mph snuffling at the snow and skidding down the path!

I had to bring the rabbits in for a few hours yesterday as it was freezing, they snuggled up near the radiator. Bless.

Our 3 year old mutt, Meg, hasn't seen much snow and went bonkers this morning..ended up doing the bambi-on-ice bit on the shiny, polished street! (no pic, cos it was still dark!)

Sadly this won't last til weekend when I could actually make some use of it in the Lakes

I have 2 old english sheepdogs and being only 23 miles outside central London we don't get snow very often. Cue 2 very excited dogs - especially the 2 yr old who spent hours in the garden! I am recovering from an operation on my shoulder at the moment and can't drive - particularly in the snow, so they have been suffering from walk deprivation for past 2 weeks.

She sat outside chasing the snowflakes having endless fun, and I had to keep rushing outside as howling gale kept blowing open iron gate that I couldn't shut because was frozen solid! I say rushing - we have a slight slope in front, and driveway like a skating rink. Ever tried slowly moving up this with one arm in a sling worrying you were about to fall over! We live in a quiet little lane and madam takes herself off down the road to say hello to people walking on their way to town - not always appreciated by them. Fancy not wanting 70lbs of excitable hairy mut leaping all over you!!
