Seriously so sorry for beating a dead horse.

I know you can get a 4th, 5th etc. FP at a kiosk after your 3 prescheduled ones have been used. So use all 3 in the morning at park A, hop to park B and book another at a kiosk. Super.

What happens if you don't use all 3 FP+ in the first park? If I only use 1 at Epcot then go to MK can I book 2 at the kiosk there. Can I do it on the app?

I'm a planner, but this is freakin ridonkulous.

If you don't use 2 of your FPs you need to wait until their windows have passed, then you can make a 4th and a fifth after that one is used and so on. But the first three have to be in the same park. You have to use the kiosks, can't do it on the APP.

Yeah but what if I only made 1 fp+ reservation in the first park?

Good question, and I haven't personally tested this. My guess is that you could hop to another park and get another one. But, you would have to initially book 3 FPs in one park, cancel 2, and then just have one FP "in hand" when you get to your first park. I did this in June to be able to immediately get a TT FP after riding Soarin. The tiers were removed, which leads me to believe that if I had hopped to HS, I could have grabbed RNRC if available. I'll be trying this out at the end of the month, and I'll report back.

Never mind....newest system does allow you to cancel a FP and only have 1 or 2 (old system required you to choose 3 whether you wanted them or not). Not sure though how this might affect getting that 4th FP in another park, will the system accept that you haven't used 2 or 3 because you don't have 2 or 3, or will you be ineligible until you use a 2nd and 3rd, meaning you have to go back to the first park.

New day...new FP rules.

The system doesn't actually allow you to only make 1 FP....you may choose only 1 but the system will put in 2 "suggested" FP.

You can't get your 4th FP until the time for all 3 of your FP has expired. So even if you use your 1 and do nothing with the other 2 until their time has passed you are stuck.

You'll want to time those 2 non-wanted FP so that they expire by the time you'll want to get the 4th....some people will book them as early as possible so they run out.....another thought is to book one early, then do your wanted FP and then book the 3rd as close as possible after the wanted is done so that your time runs while you are travelling to park #2.

When "choosing" the non-wanted, pick the ones that the least people would want for a FP so that you are likely to have the largest pool of times to choose from, so you can pick more about time than ride.

The system will give you two suggested FPs, but you can cancel those immediately, leaving you with just your one wanted FP. After using that FP, the system treats your next FP as your "4th FP," even though you only used one.

I plan on park hopping every day of my trip, using FastPasses at the first park we visit. Let's say, for example, I'm at Animal Kingdom in the morning, and I've used my three FastPasses. I plan to go to Hollywood Studios later that evening. Can I book a FastPass at Hollywood Studios while at Animal Kingdom (AFTER using my three FastPasses of course)?

You could cancel them as of January, I believe. It was just a little less obvious than it is in the new interface.

As of June 2nd, once you use your only FP (if you've cancelled your 2nd and 3rd), it treats the next FP as your 4th FP. We had only Soarin' prebooked. Once we used Soarin' and went to the kiosk to book our next, every ride was available to us, both Tier 1 and Tier 2, so it was definitely acting as a 4th FP. We grabbed TT with no issues.

So would it also work at a different park though?

I don't think so, I think you would have to be at a Hollywood studios kiosk.

No. Anything beyond your 3 reservable FP+ need to be made at a kiosk physically within that park. The app only works for the 3 you can book in advance.

For these reasons....all of them... I have cancelled my hopper passes. For the first time, we will not be hopping. I was only able to get a fp for TSM at DHS after 1:00 so I could not go to another park in the morning, say MK and FP the few rides we wanted. Did ot know that you could book just 1 FP. If I had known that, I would have booked RNRC at DHS early in the AM and that is all. Then booked TSM. SMH :(

That is really disappointing that you have to be within the park to make FP+ reservations. :(

We were planning to take an afternoon break every day. Most of the time we won't be to the second park until 5 pm or later. By then are there really any good FP+ choices left? I can't imagine there would be. :worried:

I'm generally not a park-hopping guy, but some people have recommended using your "initial three" FP at the second park of the day. Basically, hit RD at your first park of the day, doing as much as you can stand-by. After your afternoon break, you'll still have some prime FPs in your pocket (er... wrist) at your second park.

Depends on when you are there, I would think. We were there in mid May and the only thing we couldn't get as a 4th, 5th etc was TSM. No issue with mountains at Mk, Soarin or ToT (the only rides we cared about). We did not go to AK at all so I can't comment there.

It depends. Some reports say yes, some say no headliner availability but the secondary choices were available with pretty immediate return times.

In your situation, it may behoove you to make your 3 FP+ advanced reservations for the park you plan to be at in the evening. Generally speaking, you wouldn't need them at your morning park (if you're doing rope drop), so you'd get better use out of them at night. The flipside is that you wouldn't be done with those 3 in time to book the 4th kiosk FP, but you may not need it.

Ok, please help, after using the initial 3 fp+ ride. Can you get an additional fastpass for the same park? We are in Epcot and want to ride Test track and Soarin, but since the tiers prevent booking. How would we go about riding both using fp+ I am so confused.

You can, assuming one is available. You would have your 3 FP+ and whenever you have either used them or their window has expired, you would proceed to a kiosk in Epcot and get a 4th FP from what's available. Just like old FP, the earlier you get to a kiosk, the better your chances are of getting one. However, many have reported that the headliners like TT and Soarin are not available at the kiosk by the time they get there.

You'd be better off booking either Soarin or Test Track as part of your 3, and riding the other one stand by at rope drop. For instance, book Soarin for 11am and when you get in, head straight to Test Track. This is more reliable than crossing your fingers that Test Track is available by the time you can select a 4th FP from the kiosk.

First week of June, we had really good luck with extra FPs, particularly at MK. On our first full day, we used 11 FPs total, so we were able to book 8 additional FPs at the kiosks. The only headliner we booked at the kiosks was BTMRR, but there were others available. Many of our FPs were booked well after 5:00.

At EP, we got TT for early evening, but we did book that around 11:30. I think by 5:00, the "good stuff" would be long gone. Same with HS. We booked RNRC for 6:00 at 1:00. By 5:00, you'd have to get lucky and snag a cancellation. We didn't use extra FPs at AK, so I can't help with that.

Here is my "raw data" on extra FPs

June 1st--MK
LM at 2:20 (booked at 1:38; SB was 25 mins)
Barnstormer at 4:05 (booked at 3:35, SB was 30 mins)
WtP at 4:45 (booked at 4:15, SB was 40 mins)
Mickey at 4:55 (booked at 4:35; SB was 25 mins)
JC at 6:50 (booked at 6:38; SB was 25 mins)
PotC at 7:25(booked at 7:17; SB was 15 mins)
BTMRR at 9:30 (booked at 7:45; SB was 30 mins)
Tinkerbell at 10:30 (booked at 10:26; SB was 10 mins)

June 2nd--EP
TT at 5:00 pm (booked at 11:45; could have had 1:55, but had 2:00 ADR)
Character Spot at 12:30 (booked at 12:15; used RS for Soarin’ so one of us showed that we hadn’t redeemed a FP; SB was 15 mins)
Maelstrom at 7:25 (booked at 7:15; SB was 20 mins)

June 3rd--EP (hopped from AK)
Maelstrom at 7:35 (booked at 5:15; could have had earlier time but had ADR at 6:00; SB was 20 mins)

June 4th--MK
PotC at 3:45 (booked at 3:30; SB was 20 mins)
Left park for Sanaa ADR

June 5th--HS
GMR at 2:05 (booked at 1:00; SB 10 mins; half of group)
RNRC at 6:00 (booked at 1:00 pm; SB was 45 mins)

June 6th--MK (hopped from AK)
Buzz at 7:35 (booked at 7:29; SB was 25 mins)
PotC at 8:10 (booked at 7:58; SB was 15 mins)

As you can see, some of the return times were really quick. My favorite was Buzz at 7:35. We booked that at the kiosk at 7:29. With the grace period, we literally booked the FP, parked our stroller, and hopped into the FP line. The SB wait was 25 mins, so it was definitely a good time-saving FP. Some of them had short SB lines, so we didn't save as much time. However, since FP takes priority over the SB line, we still grabbed what FPs were available, unless the kiosk lines were long. On most days, we could have grabbed even more FPs than we did, but we had ADR or other plans or a sleeping toddler.

Thanks for all this info this is really helpful.

Sounds like the 4th FPs are working pretty well, except for the super-headliners. Not much different from the availability of the old FPs!
