Sure, I can change the channel. But, if I am watching a show, why do I need to change the channel to avoid commercials and previews to these raunchy and gross stuff.
I agree with this part of the comment. I am more than happy to make my decisions about what shows are acceptable to me/my family. (I personally try not to swear, but I am not against hearing it in movies/TV in certain cases. In other cases, I'll choose not to watch.)
However, I do take issue when I'm watching a show and they start showing commercials (usually for other shows) that are much more raunchy/violent/edgy than the show I'm watching. IMHO, the commercials shown shouldn't be more edgy than the content in the show that the commercial is shown in. (I'm talking about commercials for some shoot-'em-up, foul-mouthed cop show being shown during a rerun of the Cosby Show and stuff like that.)
To tie back to the OP -- those "half bleeps" bug me, too. Either bleep it, or don't... but don't pretend to bleep it and think we're so stupid we don't know what you've done.
