I found a very detailed live journal telling/showing you how to use the Bare Essential products. This user did a great job explaining what each brush does and how the products looked on her face. http://community.livejournal.com/bareescentuals/21179.html?view=86203

I've kind of commited myself to buying Bare minerals now since I won a kabuki brush auction. I didn't expect to win it, but now I feel kind of comitted.

I also looked on the bare essetials website and they have an interesting offer.
http://www.bareminerals.com/kits_bm4.html

This special starter kit includes all the bareMinerals basics (7 items small size), plus a few extra goodies designed to get you on your way to healthy, radiant skin (3 items).[/I]

My question to you DIS Bare Minerals users is, is this a worthy offer? An item I don't see listed is the concealer (but the concealing brush is there- right?).

Thanks for your input.

I would check the QVC website and see what they have before you go ahead and order that package first. They usually have good deals too. It is weird they give you a concealor brush but no concealor but they're counting on you to buy it so they can make more money. I love their concealor though.

Wow!! She uses 1000 times more of each product that I do.

Have you seen the dvd that comes with the kit? They put about 20 items on one lady... :earseek:

That was a great tutorial, Thanks!

That seems like a pretty decent deal. However, if you're not sure, try getting a sample set on ebay. There are tons of them. Do a search for "Bare Minerals sample".

And the concealer brush doesn't need an actual concealer, per se. The brush can be used with the regular foundation to get into hard-to-reach places like around your nose and eyes. The way the foundation works is they give you two shades to mix to your liking. Then you use the lighter shade for concealing. Once you get into bare minerals you might find you want to try different products like Well Rested or Bisque as a better concealer.

Thanks for all your suggestions and comments. I'll be keeping your posts in mind! You ladies are great. :goodvibes

I looked at the Spring kit on QVC (which was a pretty good deal btw) and it might be too light for me. I'm probably a tan to med. tan.

Wow, if you ladies don't use that much powder as on the turtorial or the dvd, it seems like this kit should go a long way. I'll keep searching Ebay as well.

Related question headed your way....If you sign up for the BM club, do they send you another sample kit/refill(s) or a full size kit/refill(s) each time? :listen:
