We're seriously considering (pretty much decided) doing the Barcelona ABD add-on before our Med cruise in August. DH is really on-board with this, as he is anxious about just going to a country where we don't even speak the language on our own and trying to do any kind of getting around and sight-seeing. I do love the idea of having a guide for 3 days to help us through everything, but the cost is phenomenal compared to doing it on our own.:scared1: Any thoughts? Please make me feel better about this!:lmao:

Well, if what you're looking for is someone to handle all the logistics (setting up your itinerary with local specialists, getting you VIP access to places, communicating with the locals, getting you where you need to be when you need to be there, checking you in and out of your hotel for you, handling your luggage for you, making sure your experience goes smoothly and is enjoyable, etc), then in my mind, you can't do much better than ABD. I did the ABD add-on for the Med cruise portion (and LOVED it!) and really wish they'd had the option to do Barcelona before (or after) the cruise last year. You are paying a premium for it, so you need to figure if ease of traveling and peace of mind is worth the money to you. It's how I like to travel, so, for me, it generally is. *Especially* in a foreign country where I don't speak the language.

Thanks for the input! We definitely can accept paying a premium for service, and it's exactly what we were thinking. DH is nervous about trying to find our way around a foreign city with child in tow, and we love the idea of someone who knows the ins and outs guiding our way. In addition, DH said that someone taking his bags at the hotel in Barcelona and him not having to worry about them until he sees them in the stateroom on the ship is worth about $1000 to him! :rotfl2:

We're sold, and I'm booking...it will be our first dealing with ABD, but I'm certain it won't be our last.

I think you'll be really happy with ABD. Be sure & tell us all about your trip when you get back!!!

Hi! any idea how much this costs? I think this is perfect for us since we'll be in Barcelona 3 nights before our cruie in June. I tried to call DCL but wait time is 20 mins... Thanks!
