HI I am planning on taking my DD15months to get her first hair cut while at the MK. I was also planning on getting my DD7 and DS5 hair cuts also but DS5 needs a hair cut now and cannot wait 2 more weeks. Can he still get his hair done with the colored gel and pixie dust and how much does it cost? TIA!!

HARMONY BARBER SHOP

Features haircut, beard and moustache trims, moustache cups, nostalgic shaving items.

Hours: 9:00am-5:00pm (last guest taken at 4:30pm). Open seven days a week.

Service: Haircuts are offered for $17.00 for adults, $14.00 for children. No reservations; first-come, first-served. I doubt that they'll charge you a full $14 for just gel and pixie dust, but these are the only prices I could find.

Other: "First Haircuts" are their specialty. Kids who receive their first haircut at the shop get complimentary Mickey Ears and a certificate. Barber shop quartet The Dapper Dans perform daily.

Thank you for your response!!!
Anyone else have any experience with this?? I thought I read somewhere that just the gel and pixie dust were free. Can anyone confirm???

for cut and pixie it was 14 each for my 2 boys last month....See Signature....they loved all the extra attention afterwards from other people and CM's....yes you can just get the coloring but not sure the price on that....

That's where DH always get his haircut! As an observer, I have seen where one or more siblings get their haircut, and one does not.
The barber will most likely sprinkle some PD over the young one's head who is not getting a haircut. Maybe a little spritz to keep it in place. I have not noticed anything more than that done.

Are most of the haircuts done there done only for children? I think it would be a hoot to watch DH get his hair cut.

I wish that they took reservations. We were there with the intent of getting GD first haircut last month and both times we were there the lines were long, about 1 and a half to 2 hour wait. We didn't want to risk her getting cranky from the wait so we skipped it. She didn't have any hair anyway. Guess we'll have to go back and try again.

We took our boys for haircuts on trip last fall. It was so much fun! My 3-yo got a regular haircut and then pixie dust and paint in his hair, the 15-mo old got his first haircut. I have great pics!

DH didn't need a haircut, but there were two men getting haircuts while we were there (with 2 kids, we were there awhile).....I believe they had child and adult prices. Anyone can get a cut there!

My husband gets his hair cut there each trip. They do a great job, better than here at home. We get there ASAP in the morning and wait for them to open.

Both of my DD's had their 1st haircuts there it's a great experience, but last trip DD#1(5 then 6 now) took along time, and DD#2 (14 months) got a bit cranky so the next day we went again and got DD#2's haircut, and DD#1 just colored & decorated so she wouldn't feel left out. They told us it was only $5.00 for the color and decorations! I think that's a great deal for how much fun they had with people talking to them about it afterwards while in lines, we plan to do it every trip!

Have fun!

Oh, and just so you know I am planning on getting a cut and decoration job done too! :smooth:

Go first thing in the morning or during a parade.
DH last got his hair cut there NYE Day. We did not arrive THAT early, but just timed it right. He waited awhile. But soon there was a long line after him.
Sometimes it looks busier than it is. It is always hard to tell how many guests are there to get a haircut and how many just to observe.
Sometimes the whole family is getting haircuts. Sometimes one member.
I snapped a pic of DH getting his hair cut that day. I thought his mommy would like it! ;) Kids are always their kids, no matter how old they are.

I heard that this was the only place in the World to get a straight blade shave for men. Do they still have this service? Does anyone know the price?

Just got back from a great week at WDW BOO HOO! DH and DS both got haircuts but no gel! The barber said if there is a chance of rain they will not put the gell in your hair because the gel will run and get into your clothes and it wont come out!! The best time to go is be there when the park opens!! :sad2:
