We had our DD's haircut there beginning of March. I just started working on her scrapbook page & realized I never took a picture of the outside of the barber shop! Does anyone have a picture of the outside of the shop that they would be willing to post & let me print out for her scrapbook!?!?!?!?!

TIA!!!!

Sorry I don't have a picture, but I do have a question: Was it your daughter's first haircut? We are planning to have our son't first haircut there this summer. Did they make it a fun experience? How long were you in the barbershop?

Thanks,
Nicki

It was her first haircut & it was perfect!!!! There was only 1 person in front of us when we got there, so our wait was only about 5 mintues. THey did an awesome job! They actually got a very active 2.5 yr old to sit perfectly still for teh whole thing. She had a ball and still talks about it! I'm afraid she's going to be rather disappointed with her next haircut! ;)

If noone has a picture for you (unlikely, but still...), I'm going next month and could take a snap.

I took DD for her first haircut at the barbershop last year. We waited for 2 people who were in line ahead of us, but it wasn't a long wait at the beginning of the day and DD could watch the characters walk by outside the shop. The woman who cut her hair, Billie, was just fabulous. She talked to DD, did the whole confetti thing (DD turned down the colored gel for whatever reason) and got out props at the end so I could take special pictures - a special cape and a giant pair of scissors if I remember correctly. It was worth it and it doesn't have to be the actual 1st haircut for you to get the whole experience. :flower:

Agree. I have a friend who visited here last year. I told her about the barbershop. She has three young boys, and all had their haircut there. She said that was the highlight of their trip. They still talk about their "do's". :teeth:
That is the only place DH gets his haircut. :cool1: He gets a Mickey head (the three circles) painted on the back of his head. :flower:

You may have to wait up to an hour. It is best to go first thing in the morning or during parade time.

We have never done the WDW haircut. Is a 12y/o boy too old to do this? What do they do for a 12y/o? I love great Disney photo ops even if it does drive my child crazy. This really sounds cute!

What is the name of the shop? And where is it located? oopps and just one more tiny minor question... Does anyone remember the cost?

Sounds like a really fun experience for children !

It's $17 for adults, $14 for kids. First come first serve, 9am-5pm everyday, including Sunday. On EMH morning at MK, they do not open early.

The name is the Main St Barber Shop. It's on the left side of the entrance square. Veer left towards the City Hall, then go straight. It's right next to the barn, tiny out of the way spot.

Get there early and you won't have to wait long, otherwise expect 1/2 hr to 1 hr wait on a typical day since there are only 2 barbers working.

I have a picture that I wouldn't care to post, but it has me or DH standing in front of it (can't remember which - possibly both) - just PM me if you'd like it, but don't know if that is much help to you since it would have strange people in your scrap book!

I was at MK yesterday and as we walked on to Main Street, I spotted the Barber Shop and remembered your post. I had my digital camera with me so I took this pic.....

Thank You !!! My son and his granny had their hair done here and of course...I didn't take a pic of the shop.
Thank you so much.

You are welcome!! There wasn't that many people at that part of Main Street right then. I think it's because there were no characters at that moment. The front of Main Street is always more crowded when the characters are out for autographs.

I go to the parks quite often so if you need another pic of something just let me know.
