 Hi All,

Does anyone know if you have to make a reservation to get a haircut here?
:)
DH thought he'd read someplace that he can get a shave here also, anyone know if this is true?:D
I think this would be a nice treat for both DD and DH, has anyone tried this and what did you think of the experience?

Any info most welcome thanx;)

Luv Audrey,

No reservations - it's a traditional barbers with a traditional wait! It's absolutely tiny and I think they have just two barbers.

I assume DD would just need a haircut.:p

 AHEMmmm... Yes Libby, the shave was just for DH:rolleyes:
DD shouldn't need a shave at this time especialy if she has a thorough scrape in the mornin!! :rolleyes:LOL

Anyone else have an MK barber shop experience they would like to share??

I have had my hair cut there 3 or 4 times in the past, and they've always done a good job. It's actually cheaper than the place I use locally, so if it weren't for the transatlantic flight there would be no contest :D

Not sure about them offering a shave however, I think it may just be a basic haircutting service.

One tip that has worked for me is to pop in just before the afternoon parade. The shop seems to be quieter, and you can get a great view of the parade as it comes towards the end of the route.

Also a number of CMs pop in to get their hair cut during the day and it can be fun to strike up a conversion with them.

Having mentioned this to my 7 year old daughter, we are now both going for a haircut. Even though her hair is way too long already she's using it as an excuse for not having it cut. Is having a haircut painful for a young girl ?

Re the shave, I think they used to do the traditional cut-throat razor, but Disney deemed it too dangerous.

The price is very good when compared with a barbers in the UK (costs me £9), but I hope the queues aren't as bad as it is on a Saturday (at least 90 minutes).

:D Thanx for the info Paul and Sid:D

Yes Sid,it's very painful for a young girl to have her hair cut, ::MinnieMo it's a girls crowning glory you know! My eldest DD is now almost 18 and she refuses to get more than a quarter inch cut off at a time! So your DD has a lot more haircuts to go yet, i'm told that the barbers will put glitter gel and coloured gel onto their hair also, mebbe this will entice your young miss in for her trim?
I see you're going the same time as us, perhaps we'll end up being clip buddies, you never know;)

Don't forget to wear your Lime Green Ribbons!!!

Jeez, I hope that doesn't apply to me as well !!!!!

We had our 7 yr old get a hair cut and Michael put blue and green gel with pixie dust in the other 2 kids hair. We arrived before opening of the barbershop. I believe it opened at 9:30am the day we went so we were too early, walked around came back at 9:30 and there was a line up. We waited at least 45 mins. There is a woman who works there as well, sorry can't remember her name. The boys thoroughly enjoyed it. I found out about it here on the boards. I told Michael he was famous here on the boards, so he said he was going to check it out. I'm not sure if he every did. If it's your child first ever haircut, then you get a certificate from them. It was a fun time watching them, here is some pictures for you to see what they looked like:

The haircut was $12 at the time and we gave a tip as well.
Have fun!

Just one note - no shaves at Harmony Barber Shop.

If you are still curious, Go to the search on this website and type in 'nevin'. Go to the first thread.(it says something about a birthday and haircut) It doesn't tell much.
