Right, but who's responsibility is it to know the difference between a healthy home cooked meal and a non healthy home cooked meal? Wouldn't that be the parents? It's not like the information isn't readily available, and it's not rocket science either. If you are a parent today and you don't know that olive oil is healthier than Crisco, or that fish is leaner than beef, or that potato chips don't count as a veggie serving, than something is really, really wrong. It certainly shouldn't be Paula Deens job to clue the clueless in.
I personally cook almost everything from scratch (even marshmallows) both because I enjoy it, and because I feel better about giving my kids foods that I know don't have all kinds of chemicals and preservatives, but I do know the difference between a healthy home cooked meal, and macaroni and cheese.
