Bar-area at Boma or nearby?

OK, so this is an odd question I guess.

I am originally from South Africa, and there are a few things I miss a lot from there. I found out that Boma serves one of them - a drink called Savannah (a hard cider). Since it is otherwise impossible to find here in the US, I was kind of excited to see it on their menu.

But, we aren't eating at Boma, and have no intention of trying to get in there for a meal (too expensive OOP for one of thing).

So, I was wondering if there is anywhere else at AKL that serves just the drinks that are on Boma's menu. Do they have just a bar area if we're not eating there? Or am I out of luck.

There is a bar that overlooks BOMA - Victoria Falls - Not sure if they have that specific drink on their menu - but they are just 2 flights of stairs up from BOMA, so I would think they could accomodate you.

There is a very small bar with about four stools and a few tables right beside the check-in desk for Jiko - it is called the Cape Town Wine Bar.

Oh oh oh! I just saw that Mara and Jiko serve it too. And Mara is on the QSDP! SCORE! I'd almost eat dogfood if it was served with an ice-cold Savannah.

What is an ice cold Savannah? I am from the Savannah area and I have never hear the term.

I would suggest going into the Jiko Lounge. No reservations are needed.

South African hard cider - not anything like the sickly sweet hard ciders you get here. Named after the African Savannah, not the Georgian city
