Banned for 10 years / Indefinately

That's horrible. While we were waiting for a person to come trade him, someone else came in and wanted to trade with me, and I with him. King helped us straight out what was and what wasn't worth what er were both wanting. I can tell King would -not- try and scam anyone.

Sorry about your troubles King, I am sure it will be resolved. You suely will be absolved of whatever they think you did.

I just checked and you're still on my friends list? I don't know, but maybe that means something?

BTW they never delete banned people from your list, I have known a few banned people and have one that is permanant that I refuse to delete myself even though I have spoken to the person and she says that character will never be back.

Edit: Sassymom, at least they have not taken my sense of humour away from me yet, and i use the word yet lightly since that is surely the very next thing to be taken away from me. My opening post while had i hoped it to be shone in a humerous light, they are indeed the facts. I traded with no one that day. All i did was a credit run.

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooo very sorry. I did not realize you were truly banned. I thought it was just a post give some laughs. Again I am VERY sorry to have laughed.

We did a trade once for a Pirate Prison room, so I know you trade fair. Hopefully VMK will fix this.

Maybe some kind of warning system would work. Like the three strikes laws. People don't even lose their license that long for much worse offenses, and they always get three warnings first!

Dear VMK,
I am worried. I am a parent who enjoys playing VMK so that my children, who actually do not spend all their time in front of a computer, can have the "magic" of VMK since we can't get to the parks on a regular basis.
But, I am worried...there is a network of parents just like me, who are being banned during play for refusing trade requests from less than reputable players, without investigation. Is this VMK's policy? To bann before reviewing the transcripts of reported actions? There have been some parents, who I know personally on many coasts, who have been more than assistive to me and my children, as VMK players, to allow them the same opportunities that they have because they live so close to the parks who have been banned for 10 years !!!
This scares me!! These people would not take extra change without pointing out the error, much less take or attempt to take from others by scamming.
There have been many other friends, banned from months to years, that I would trust with my children in real life, and I can't believe the VMK staff would bann if they had reviewed the transcript records first.
I play for me, because I truly love the magic of disney, and my children play to keep the magic alive until we can visit again. I am now afraid to trade with anyone,unless I have known them for a long time, because I fear that I and more importantly, my children, Might be banned if I do not agree with trade.
So please, make all items untradeable , or have ppl review the records thoroughly before such a drastic measure is taken. Because, remember, it is not only the player banned but the entire family.
I truly think that if these records were reviewed more carefully, then we could catch these scammers, not give them more power.
Thank you for your attention to this matter because I am a VERY concerned parent. I want my chidkren to be able to trust VMK, mot worry every time they "accept a trade" which offers them less for more.

Well this scam apparently must not be against the rules. Or their values.

1.) Give me your stuff or i will report you.
2.) Give me your stuff for my worthless junk or i will report you.
3.) You dont give me your stuff i will make a false report and get you banned.
4.) Pester people who don't want to talk to you

Steal other Players' credits or in-game belongings.

Why would they ban an innocent person? Someone could of reported someone, but they replaced the name with yours. It is possible. Or maybe it's just an utter mistake and the staff thought that it was you. One of the staff might have mistaken you for someone else. Well, I can only hope that you can get back on VMK soon and play again.

I have to say Kings lets me piggy back on his Pirates games (I'm REALLY terrible at Pirates!) and when we trade he's always quick to tell me if I'm offering too much for something. It's unthinkable that he'd try to pull anything over on anyone!

No one really knows anyone. people can and will surprise you. the most unexpected person is sometimes the culprit. this is true of many crimes and vmk scams. just because king is nice and friendly doesnt mean he cant or wont scam. i' dont believe he did but i wont argue one way or another.

another thing people especially young children forget is "theres ALWAYS more to a story" i HIGHLY doubt vmk banned king for no reason there is a reason. find out and get it fixed. good luck.

Getting truly ridiculous.

With VMK it seems you are guilty until proven innocent.

With some of the kids today, this makes for a very uncomfortable game, something VMK should not be. All it takes is someone to get annoyed becuase you wouldn't trade with them or something similar and they can make up a lie and report you...then you face a possible ban. Admittedly probably only a temporary ban until they check into it, but it shouldn't even be that way. Check the facts first then act, or even have a small cooling off period as suggested.

Anyone found making a false report should be banned for life, and some kind of message should be put up on the vmk site in plain view to state as much.

Last night at the fireworks game , I saw a girl ordering others about, telling them to stand all in a line. All in play I thought, until she started saying if they didn't do as she said, she would report them. She said this repeatedly, and a couple did do so,it was obvious they were being intimidated. So I just took a couple of screenshots and reported her myself, and then walked into the middle of the room thinking, "come on, report me! please!".

It just makes you question everything you do now, as you're damned if you do and damned if you don't, and whatever you do there is always some brat who might not like it and decide to report you.

ok. listen this may break your heart but i think this kid that reported you needs some attention. i know this sounds wrong but why else would this kid report you? Think.. have you been nice to this person? have you ever taken the time to talk to him? Have you ever listened to wat he or she had to say? if you answered no to these questions then obviously he is just mad because you are not paying any attention to him. When you get back on vmk ( if you ever do ) Be nicer to ppl and try to get yourself out of bad situations

Reporting someone because you needed attention or you felt you were being ignored? Puh-leeze. Anyone who did that should be banned for life. If I had kids who I found out did that, it would be grounding from VMK time. Sounds like a stroppy little 5 year old having a tantrum because he wasn't given the candy he wanted.

He may have been perfectly fine with the kid that reported him, and the kid took offence at some stupid little thing. And VMK is now what you could call 100% a haven of friendliness is it, some are just downright rude at times.

Still, as I said reporting because you feel left out or need attention is just NOT ON. The reporter can go on with their merry vmk life, seeing who else who might not give him what he wants before reporting them. The reported could face a ban. I think you will see what is wrong there.

Ok, my niece comes over to my house everyday or every other day to play VMK with me because she has no computer at her house because her mom is always working on the computer. So i went on this morning before she came over to see if one of her little friends were on, being dumb, i guess, I told him my im name and tried to get him to tell me his (I know this is totally bad, but i wanted to actually talk to him and his dad on im), well i tried to do it through trade too, i got banned for 10 years!! Does your library have computers. Since she was not banned you could take her there. The only other way would be to buy a new computer or a very good old one. Can not see any other way. I feel bad for your niece. And very bad you have to tell her. So sad. I know people have tried changing their IP address but it seems there computer is also banned. Search this forum for what others have suggested.

Okay, I will reiterate that I don't think that Kings would scam anyone. I admit that I don't know him very well, but here's the kind of player he is:

I had just gotten my new SpaceSuit magic and wanted to get into the InnerSpace shop, but couldn't figure out how. I sent a PM in the game to Kings asking if he knew how to get there. I halfway expected no reply, figuring he was busy doing other stuff in the game. Instead, I got a reply "On my way". Kings was kind enough to leave whatever he was doing to meet me to guide me to the shop. Even through repeated DCs on my part, Kings hung around to give me a hand. Again, I don't really know him very much at all, but I was incredibly touched.

Doesn't seem like the kind of Player that would scam anyone, does it?!!

I don't think so anyway.

start a new vmk life. start from scratch. and just simply tell your neice of wat happened. if she gets upset tell her you will make a new character. and you can play vmk all over again. But ten years of a ban just for asking their im is very wrong. vmk should make it shorter like three weeks or something cause thats just plain wrong. vmk will be gone ten yrs. from now probably. Websites do not last very long so just make a new character and start a new life thats all i can say.

I have also sent in a plea as a guardian, I really hope they will let me back in, I will not tell her today if they dont allow me access, but I dont know how long I can keep this secret from her. I just dont want her to hate me and think that I am a horrible person, but I cant keep it from her for ten years!

start a new vmk life. start from scratch. and just simply tell your neice of wat happened. if she gets upset tell her you will make a new character. and you can play vmk all over again. But ten years of a ban just for asking their im is very wrong. vmk should make it shorter like three weeks or something cause thats just plain wrong. vmk will be gone ten yrs. from now probably. Websites do not last very long so just make a new character and start a new life thats all i can say.

I really wish i could, but they banned my computer, my IP, and my name....this is terrible!
