Banking transferred points?

If you transfer points from an april use year to an October use year then bank those points do they expire at the end of the next april or October use year?

Transferred points are bankable, but retain their original use year after transfer.

April UY points remain April UY points when transferred. The key is that you want the points to be valid for trips and base it as if they were still in their normal UY when deciding how to use.

So, if you transferred April 2022 points to an October 2022 UY, it counts as the 2022 transfer both. But those points would still need to be banked by November 30th, to use in the April 2023 UY.

Is it common for CMs to be confused about this? I've got 11 leftover transferred points I was hoping to bank, but was told today over the phone by Member Services that transferred points couldn't be banked, and that my only option was to use the points up this use year. (I'm February UY btw, so I'm not past my banking window.)

I don't have any need for the points this year. Any recommendations? Should I call back any try again?

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the transferred points are also February UY, so that shouldn't impact my banking window. But again, the CM said that tranferred points aren't bankable (in general), which seems contrary to what I'm reading online. :|

They can not be borrowed but can be banked. There are many new CMs and unfortunately they do get some of the rules wrong. Call back and talk to someone else. Or, do it via chat or email.

Yes. You can not bank them yourself
