Banking Transferred Points

If I bank points that have been transferred to me, will I then be able to see them on my account / make future reservations without the need for MS ?

Do they match your home resort and use year? If not, then no, you'll never be able to see them online.

Actually I bought the contract associated with these points. The seller transferred me the points prior to the contract closing which now has been completed.

If I understand you correctly, you already had a membership, you have now bought a new contract but before that contract sale was entered into or completed the owner transferred points to you. In that case, if your original membership had the same use year and resort as the transferred points, you should see them in your account.

However, if they were a different use year or resort, then they will not show online in your original account. I am guessing that now adding the new contract to the account will not change the situation and make the transferred points suddenly appear, even if you bank them, because that new contract is no longer associated with the transferred points, but you may want to call MS and see if they can provide an answer.

Let us know how it goes. You didn't have a matching contract when the points were transferred, so they're basically listed as a "note" on your account. Now that you have a matching contract, they might be willing to move the points in there for you.

MS has just told me that no matter if I bank the points, these points will not show up on my account since the contract number where the points originated is not the same contract number on my account the fact the remaining points originated from the same contract does not matter since it is now a different number.
