Banking Transferred Points

I thought I read that transferred points can be banked beyond the standard banking deadline. I called member services to ask and they confirmed that to be true. If I had the opportunity to receive December 2014 points that expire at the end of the month, according to MS, I can bank them. Can anyone confirm this?

That's what I've heard, too, but I've never done it.

I wouldn't think that this would be allowable. If it were, what would stop owner's with two different UY from waiting until the last minute to transfer points within their own accounts?

I'm wondering if it means that transferred points can be banked outside of YOUR normal booking window?? For example, we have a Feb UY with a banking deadline of September 30. I recently transferred in October 2015 UY points with a banking deadline of June 30. I was able to bank them outside of MY banking window because the points were still within THEIR banking window. Make sense? It just doesn't seem like transferring in points that are about to expire and being able to bank them would be beneficial to the system.

I was told that recently, too. In fact, I had banked them per what should have been the banking deadline and when I called back a few months later, the CM told me I could still use them for a reservation for this UY. She said transferred points are an anomaly and they can go back and forth on the banking and using.
