Banking & Switching Resorts at 7 mo.

I need advice with the following senario:

Our home resort is VWL
We have 87 points in our Aug. 2012 UY
We have our full 90 points in our Aug 2013 & 2014 UY

I want to make reservations for two trips, both in studios -
Aug 11-16 2013
Nov 29-Dec 5 2013

For the first trip, we plan on booking tomorrow at VWL, and then trying to switch to BWV Standard view, BCV, or BWV preferred view (in that order) if available at the 7 mo. window.

We plan on booking at 11 mo. and keeping our VWL booking for the second trip.

My 11 month window for the second booking opens before the 7 month window opens for the first booking.

Here's the question -

If I bank my 2012 points into 2013, I assume they will be used for the first booking (?).

If I then switch at the 7 month mark to a lesser point value stay, am I correct in understanding that I cannot change what points I am using for the second booking?

Can I book the first stay using 2013 points, and then the second using a combination of banked 2012 points, 2013 points, and a few borrowed 2014 points?

I am trying to avoid a situation in which I have 2012 banked points in my 2013 UY and no way to use them.

If you would prefer to use your 2013 points for the first stay and your banked 2012 points for the second stay, simply make the Aug 2013 ressie first and it will take the 2013 points. Then bank the 2012 points, they will be used for the next reservation that occurs in you 2013 use year.

Thank you. That's exactly what I needed. Then, if the first stay changes to use less points, it will be 2013 points going back into my account which can be banked into 2014 if I don't use them.
