banking question

Okay fellow DVC'ers and DIS'ers - I'm having a brain fade problem this morning. When banking points if I use some of a years allotment of points, but not 50% of them (say, 30 of 140) and want to bank the remainder of them (110) I would need to bank them before the first banking deadline to be able to bank all 110 of the points?

Guess this is a good problem to have, but I'm having a bit of a challenge with it right at this moment.
