I am thinking way ahead, but here it goes.

We have 300 OKW points with April UY. Just added on 100 points at SSR for same use year.

The question is: If say I want to bank 50% of my points is it from the TOTAL points or is each resort considered independant when it comes to banking.

Example: 400 total points would mean 50% would be 200 points. What if I used 200 OKW points and had 100 OKW points left and ALL 100 points from SSR. Technically, I would be at 33% from OKW remaining and 100% of SSR intact.

Does 50% mean 150 of 300 OKW points and 50 of 100 SSR points need to banked for the 50% deadline? Are they indepandant of each other or are they combined when it come to banking?

You now have 400 points total with same use year. The banking rules apply to that total. With the 50% banking window, you can bank up to 200 in any combination of the two resorts.

As long as a second purchase is a true add-on. (People use the phrase add-on even when it's a whole new contract)

You can identify an add-on by the contract number. The second purchase will have the same number with a suffix such as -001 attached to it.

Examples of when a new purchase is not an add on would be if it has a different use year month, or possibly was a resale that was purchased.

May I suggest you try using my DVCPlanner program. In it you can set up all your contracts (add-on's or new purchases) and it will calculate your banking deadlines for you. You can click on the link in the signature block below.

Sent in paperwork for SSR last week. I do not think we have officially closed yet.

Anyway, first OKW purchase was a resale and this time we are buying direct from Disney. So, I amm assuming this is a true add-on. Same April UY.

So, that means 50% of 400 points would be banking 200 points in any combination from the 2 resorts.

I think I understand.
