banking points question

We purchased AKV this summer with a Dec UY. Because of being able to use Developer points for a DL stay next year along with a DCL vaca that has been booked for about 2 years, we don't plan on going back until spring 2010. I understand the use year is Dec 2008-Dec 2009 but my question is when do I need to let MS know that we will be banking those points? TIA

With a December use year, you need to bank no later than the following July 31. So for 2008 use year points, you need to call on or before July 31, 2009.
