Banking points and booking

Just bought DVC VGF ! So excited !! We are planning on going the first week of December 2014 for my DS birthday. We are taking family so will be using 2013 and 2014 points. Our user year is June. I will be booking in January. Does that mean I have to bank my 2013 points, then make my dec 2014 reservation ? Thanks !

(and once you bank them, remember that banking and borrowing are FINAL transactions, so the pts cannot be put back into your 2013 UY.)
