Banking Deadline vs Website Glitches Again

Looks like I'll be on the phone tomorrow with MS. Again.

My dashboard is showing a bunch of phantom reservations, and my VGF2 didn't pull from my banked points. FUN! I guess I should have checked this last week, because I should have expected this. It's my banking deadline, and it looks like I'll be on the phone again, like usual.

So did your reservations actually have points reallocated (as in they were originally drawn from the banked and then changed) or had you not looked closely before? Either way it is wrong, just curious.

I can't tell what the VGF2 are doing, but obviously they aren't doing it right. My phantom reservations show up as 0 points.

This is why it's a good idea to call before a big trip and make sure this incompetent website is doing what you think it should be.

I'm sure, I just have to get a human on the phone. It makes no sense that the VGF2 reservations pulled non-banked points first, but hey Disney IT.

If it weren't my banking deadline, I wouldn't have even checked.

There's absolutely no excuse for Disney/DVC's perpetual technological problems. And, to top it off, you get to wait on the phone for an excruciatingly long time to have them fix a problem they caused in the first place. I've seen the "oops, we're working on it" error so many times that I now despise the seven dwarves. I'm sure Disney will continue to eliminate competent IT folks and replace them with cheaper incompetent IT folks.

Did you book the VGF online yourself? Or did a CM do it during the window only for VGF owners?

Could they have messed it up if you booked prior to the 13th and not take the banked points?

Hopefully it gets fixed quickly.

We bought 3 contracts since December 2021 - One Direct and Two Resale all with previous years points banked into 2022 - all the same UY - Same Login etc. For the subsequent bookings we made so far this year at VGF, BLT, Boardwalk and SSR, the system did not automatically pull from the banked points. I got on chat once I noticed in my dashboard, and they took care of it in 5 mins or so. I found it odd that the system didnt automatically do this for me and I thought I was doing something wrong. As a new DVC owner, this could have totally screwed me later on had I not done a little more research before buying.

Total time on the phone an hour. They were able to fix this. Wow could this burn people. If I didn't have an October UY, I wouldn't have even checked this. I don't understand why VGF2 didn't pull banked points from the jump. I made sure my next UY was pulling banked correctly, but wow.

I do wonder if it is the way the CM did it and that is why it didn't pull correctly? I have never had it not pull banked points first, other than once when I didn't check the other contract!!! LOL

I just came to check for this! I have a phantom reservation for this July. an hour or so ago it showed it was 94 points but when I click on it it shows 0 points.
