Banking - Borrowing

Simple questions:
-Can you bank and borrow or just one of the two? For example if I have 50 08 points banked and have 50 coming due in October 2009 can I borrow 50 from 2010 and use 90 in December of 2009?

-What is the waiting list procedure? (I know this probably can not be done in 10 words or less so if there is an old tread please direct me to that.) My thinking is to make a reservation at my home resort and get on a waiting list for another resort at the same time?

Yes, you can bank and borrow to end up with 3 years of points to use in one year.

Many people book their home resorts at 11 months and then call at 7 months to try and change the reservations. You can only waitlist if the room you want to book is not available.

When you make your reservation, will be you be at the 7 month mark? If you are not, then you will only be able to book the reservation at your home resort. Once you reach 7 months from the vacation, call and ask them if there is availabilty where you want to stay. If there is, you can switch--you have to be careful though because techinically, they must cancel your first before they make the 2nd and there are a few minutes in between. In most cases, it works out fine but you should at least be aware that this is how it works. If, at the 7 months mark, the room you want is not availabe, then you can waitlist it.
