Banking/borrowing question

I know there a lot of similar questions, but I couldn't find one close enough to our situation....

We have a resale contract that had 2013 points that were banked (Feb UY) and we have to use these by 2/1/15.

There were also 2014 points that were banked. I understand that the 2014 points need to be used by 2/1/16, however I don't know when they are available. We would like to book a trip this December as well as April or May 2015 and a third trip in October 2015. Could I book all three trips next month using the 2014 banked points and borrowing from 2015 allotment?

First, I would point out that finding something for this December will likely be a bit difficult this late in the year. Saratoga Springs would be your best bet and I would book that ASAP.

Second, While you can book all three trips next month, your Banked 2014 UY Points can no longer be used for the December 2014 trip as they are now restricted to trips between 02/01/15 and 01/31/16. Keep in mind that point status is based on when points will be used not when the reservation is made.

As for using your points here is a list of the dates you mentioned and the available points you could use:
December 2014 - Banked 2013 Points and Borrowed 2015 Points
April/May 2015 - Banked 2014 Points, 2015 Points and Borrowed 2016 Points
October 2015 - Banked 2014 Points, 2015 Points and Borrowed 2016 Points

I would book the December and Spring trips ASAP and then Book the October 2015 trip at the 11 month mark next month.

This helps tremendously!! I wasn't sure if point usage/reservation was based on date of travel or if you need to have those points available at the time of booking.

I know December will be tricky, we could also try for something in January. We have 208 points to use before 2/1/15 and 183 points from 2014 and 210 for 2015 going forward. I'm just trying to keep everything straight in my head and since we have a few trips to book, I want to make sure I book them correctly.

Points are used at the time of your stay, not when you book. If you cancel a reservation prior to your banking cut off date you can still bank because the points have not been used yet.

You are currently in your 2014 UY. If the points are banked, they are moved to your 2015 UY. The points are available to use April 2015.

banked april 2014 UY pts are available to use for a stay within the dates of your 2015 UY (april 1, 2015 to march 31, 2016).

always remember that UY has nothing to do with booking. booking dates are based on your home resort. so (for example) you can book a stay for nov 10, 2015 with those pts for your home resort starting on dec 10, 2014.
